IE8 - Slow loading

Can someone perhaps tell me why IE8 seems to "hang" for about 10-15 seconds before it loads each time I open it. (IE7 was doing it as well but didn't appear to be hanging for as long).

Please, no comments about "use Firefox or Opera" etc.

It's bugging me. I've run Tune-Up Utilities 2009 (thanks DS) and corrected a heap of issues and now my only problem appears to be with IE.

FTR, running XP on a dual core with 2GB ram.

Do you have a lot of add ons installed?

No. Bugger all add-ons.

Basically the only extra I have is the Google tool bar.

If you MUST, use Netscape 2.0. But don't use IE.

lol Netscape. Last time I used that, back in like 98, it had it's on loading screen.
