Eddie by a mile. If Sting hadn't faced the talent he was lucky enough to be booked against in his career he would be exposed for the mediocre worker that he is.

Eddie, I grew up watching and loving Eddie. I've never really been interested in Sting, he had some good stuff, but not as much as Eddie.

P.S.

My reason is that Eddie is an all around better worker. He reached and even surpassed the heights of Sting by working his way up the ladder. I also feel he did it with less help.
He could play heel and face alike.
To me, Sting only functioned well as a face, against a megaheel. Other than that, the face paint did the work. Solid wrestler, and over as hell. I can't even deny I've been a mark for him before. But Eddie just outclasses him in every department.

This is actually a tough choice for me. Always been a fan of both. Eddie's ring work was better, but Sting's promos lately have been phenomenal.

However, I was more familiar with more of Eddie's career if that makes sense, so he gets the vote.

Eddie, hands down. I've never been a huge fan of Sting, and Eddie is just miles beyond him. Better wrestler, better story teller, and all around more entertaining. To be honest, I was never a huge fan of early Eddie in WCW, but he grew on me, like some sort of cancerous tumor, and I think that speaks volumes about how amazing he really is, because by the time of his unfortunate passing, he was one of my favorite wrestlers ever.

I grew up a WWF mark, so I never thought Sting was a huge deal. I mean, now that I'm older I appreciate what he did, but like I said, I was never a *big* fan, so I voted for Eddie.

Eddie by a good margin, loved his comedy and heel work. Sting's heel work was crap.

I liked Sting. He was mediocre, and bland and blah blah blah. He was sting and he made the stinger splash cool. He also pioneered the scorpion deathlock

Eddie Guerrero.

I was a huge Sting mark back in WCW, but after WCW I never really heard from him again. Also back then I was still a younging, so Sting would win me over simply by being Sting (ie, the face paint, the gimmick, the uber face etc).

But obviously looking back now he really wasn't all that great in the ring lol.

On the other hand Eddie seemed to get better and better each and every week. It's a shame these two never had a fued when both at the main event level. Any matches they would have had in WCW would have blatenly been a Sting squash match.

Eddie. Sting was lucky enough to have "It", Eddie just had more of it.

Eddie for me. I grew up watching Sting even NWA days, the reality though - is that he never captured my attention as much as the guys he was facing. I always pulled for him (except against Arn, I was a Double A mark) but it wasn't because I liked him, it was because the guys he faced were good enough to make me boo them.

Where as Eddie was the reason I cheered for him, he was the reason I booed him.

It's always interesting to see how these things go down.

Stone Cold beat Eddie his first time around, yet Sting gained a respectable amount of votes against Stone Cold.

Have to give Sting some love here. Just out of pity.

My vote was for Sting. When I was a kid and watched him in the NWA days before he went crow he was probably one of my favorites. Eddie was great in the ring and always delivered a good match, but I just never got into rooting for Eddie for some reason.

I was a big Sting fan growing up, but his allure waned on me in the past few years. Sting had great promos, but Eddie did too. And Eddie was better in the ring.

I wonder who StingerSplash4Lyfe will vote for? :shifty:

I voted for Eddie because I think he was the more the complete package of the better wrestler in this era. He could play face or heel and his ability goes without saying.

I think Sting's abilities as a heel have to do with where he is right now. Being unpainted and in a suit looks good on paper, but at the end of the day he's still in TNA (aka I don't watch it). But here is something to consider: I can't really see Eddie getting the kind of reaction Sting did against the nWo. So for that time and place Sting was the guy, but he is not my choice here.

Even though I'm still dissapointed that Eddie survived the challenge of the Snake, I can't take Sting over Uncle Eddie. Sting had some great moments of being near the top of WCW, battled top card talent while Uncle Eddie was more mid-card, but Eddie's matches were much more entertaining.

I went with Eddie. He could work, he was hilarious, and he earned everything he got. Sting always seemed to me like he was just facepainted megaface who really didn't give me a whole lot of reason to care.

Loved Sting vs the Horsemen, loved Sting vs Vader, and Sting vs nWo is one of my favorite feuds of all time, but you can't tell me that Sting was a better wrestler than Eddie.

I think that I was able to watch Eddie mature into a superstar plays a lot into this. Sting has always been an upper midcard/main event guy for me but I watched Eddie go from underused cruiserweight to world champion.

This one is very hard for me (That's what she said). I'm pretty much a huge mark for both of these guys. Not many people I would vote over either of them.

I've sat here and typed "Think I'll vote for Sting", erasing it, and writing "Think I'll vote for Eddie" for the past few minutes trying to decide who to vote for.

Screw it. I'll go with Eddie in the bid to advance him in the Better Wrestler tournament.

This was hard initially, until I thought about who made me have more true emotional responses and then it is Eddie hands down.

Eddie's silent promo blew away all the Crow Sting stuff from 97.

Voted for Eddie, I like Sting think he has done his part but Eddie was so much better in the ring and his promos were just great.

Such a nice guy, if only everyone was like that...:)

Anyways, Eddie for the shear fact that Eddie is the more decorated athlete, plus he didn't have to have a Over-Exaggerant gimmick to get over. Eddie became awesome through his in-ring talent in ECW, WCW, and WWE.
