Being that it is the day of Wrestlemania I'm giddly like the wrestling nerd that I am so I've been pouring over Wrestlemania results and Wrestlemania records that I've compiled for myself. I noticed an intresting little tidbit about Psycho Sid that I find intresting. No, its not that he shit his pants at Wrestlemania 13... (I can neither confirm nor deny that)

Psycho Sid is the one wrestler in history that had been in more than 1 Wrestlemania and main evented (meaning wrestled in the last schedualed match on the card) every Wrestlemania that he's been in.

v. Hulk Hogan (WWF Wrestlemania VIII)
v. The Undertaker (WWF Wrestlemania 13)

Which puts him in three extremely rare categories...

Wrestlers that Main Evented Their first Wrestlemania:
Hulk Hogan (1)
Mr. T (1)
Roddy Piper (1)
Paul Orndorff (1)
Ted DiBiase (4)
Sid (8)
Yokozuna (9)
Lawrence Taylor (11)
Brock Lesner (19)

Wrestlers Who Main Evented More than One Wrestlemania
Hulk Hogan (1-3, 5-8)
Randy Savage (4 & 5)
Sid (8 & 13)
Bret Hart (9, 10, & 12)
Yokozuna (9 & 10)
Shawn Michaels (12, 14, 20 & 23)
The Undertaker (13 & 24)
Steve Austin (14, 15, & 17)
The Rock (15-17)
Triple H (16, 18, 20-22)
John Cena (22 & 23)

Wrestlers Who Main Evented Every Wrestlemania They Were In
Sid (8 & 13)
Lawrence Taylor (11)

I'm not sure if this was worth a thread on its own, but I figured I'd throw it out there...

And completely un-Sid related I just notices that only Hulk Hogan, The Rock & Triple H have main evented 3 Wrestlemania's in a row and no one has even 4 in a row unless you count Hogan winning the title at Wrestlemania 9 as the "Main Event" which I for one don't.

That's actually pretty cool.

Wait, Hogan 5-8, thats 5, 6, 7, and 8. So he did ME 4 in a row.

Regardless, this is reall interesting. I never thought of this.

That's what SHE said.

Actually, Hogan technically "main evented" (assuming we're using the last match clause) WrestleMania 9, so that's 5 in a row.

Edit: Oh, "schedueled". Yeah, four.

Pisses me off SO BAD that Bam Bam/LT was the ME that year instead of Shawn vs Diesel.

Wrestlemania has had a couple of matches that should have been main event that weren't...

VIII should have been Flair/Savage
XI should have been Diesel/Michaels
X-8 should have been Hogan/Rock
23 should have been Batista/Undertaker

Yeah, but Bam Bam/LT outranks them all by miles in "bad choice for main event".

Of course. No arguments here.
