I'm doing a research paper on facebook and have a quick question...

Regarding Facebooks News-feed..... is it possible to control if anything you do on facebook appears on your friends news feed?

Yeah, you can stop anything appearing on peoples news feeds if you want

Once something has hit your feed on your profile, hit the 'x' to the right of it for individual stories, or you can go to the settings and tailor it so certain actions/applications never get published.
