Tommy didn't win the ECW belt by Maina, what is he still doing wrestling?

It was before his contract was up, not before Wrestlemania. Most people just thought that is when he would win it.

I think it was around June and not Mania.

He made the declaration that if he didint' win the belt by the time his contract expired in June, then he'd retire.

Tommy Dreamer is great. I hope they keep the guy around as a road agent. They probably will.

But yea, his last match will be at Extreme Rules

I thought he was ALREADY an agent.

It's kind of sad, but whomever goes over Tommy probably won't even get that big of a rub just because Tommy has been so badly handled over his years with the WWE. If this were taking place in the original ECW it would probably be on par with Flair's retirement (okay, not THAT big, but you know what I mean). Instead, it will be big for awhile, but ultimately just another forgotten storyline.

He absolutely still has much to offer new guys, probably a lot more than he was ever allowed to show while in the WWE.

What a terrible miscarriage of justice that will be if they let him go...

I think he should win the title at Extreme Rules, then retire anyway and vacate the belt.

So much for him keeping his promises. Dreamer should becasue WWE has turned him into a jobber.

Tommy Dreamer in a regular wrestling match bores the hell out of me. He is just one of those few who has to be in a hardcore wrestling match to really shine.

I hope him and Swagger go all out in an Extreme Rules match at Night of a Lot of Weapons as a proper send-off for him.

Unless WWE actually spotlights him better, i hope that he retires. I miss the original ECW Dreamer. He was a big part of their show. Ever since being with the WWE i have just felt sorry for him. i almost feel like Vince just wanted to keep him down. They could have done so much more for him.

Tommy Dreamer has the heart of goal and he's been the proverbial underdog all his life. I think Dreamer loves the ECW fans too much to just 'retire' without getting one more reign. Call it a gut feeling, but I think Dreamer is going to give it all he's got and win the ECW title before he calls it quits for good to spend more time with his family.

Yeah, I think the date Dreamer gave people was "June 6." It started off as an ECW PPV, and the story heading into this match will have a lot of history, so I hope that Jack Swagger vs. Tommy Dreamer (which I assume will be the ECW Title Match) gets to close the show. It's a bit of a stretch to see an ECW Title bout closing a PPV, but I think Night of Extreme could handle it.

It'd be intriguing to see whether the WWE goes with Dreamer winning the ECW Title (which could make him relevant again), or if they choose to have someone like Swagger get the big rub by going over, and forcing Dreamer to retire. I think Dreamer will choose to do what is right by the business, and something his ECW character was all about, and end up looking at the lights one last time.
