Right now we have three matches confirmed. They are the World Title matches, but besides that, do we have any idea what the card is going to be? Sounds like a mad dash to the finish. Anyway, in the absence of any real clues with the draft being all the talk right now, what would you like to see take place at Backlash?

Last Man Standing Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
John Cena vs. Edge

Big Show gets involved on Vickie Guerrero's behalf, and knocks Cena out with the KO Punch, and holds Edge up. Vickie and her husband are no longer a "power couple," but she gives him one last gift with her authority before the brand split separates them.

Six-Man Tag Team Match with the WWE Championship on the line
Triple H, Batista & Shane McMahon vs. Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

Batista gets carried away taking his frustrations out on Randy Orton, which gets him disqualified, and moves the WWE Championship over to Randy Orton, and creates a lot of fucking tension between The Game and The Animal.

ECW Championship
Jack Swagger vs. Christian

I can't see Christian losing this match and keeping momentum. Swagger has looked good so far, but does he really need to be ECW Champion forever? Christian gets the pin here with The Killswitch, and begins his first reign as a "World Champion."

Champion vs. Champion
MVP vs. Rey Mysterio

This would just be a cool match, and it gets both mid-card champions on the PPV. They sort of teased this by having Mysterio draft MVP over to SmackDown!. They don't need a story, Vickie Guerrero can just sign some champion vs. champion matches for the PPV, saying she reached an agreement with Teddy Long. The WWE loves their own creation, so Rey would probably go over here, although MVP would look strong as hell.

Champion vs. Champion Match
Maryse vs. Melina

The ladies get on PPV, and this RAW Divas vs. SmackDown! Divas stuff goes somewhere. Maryse gets the win, because she has been awesome, and the WWE needs to boost the credibility of that championship. Melina's next feud can cost her the match.

Shawn Michaels vs. The Brian Kendrick

Yeah, it's a pipe-dream. Get fucking over it. This can be set up with a simple promo. HBK comes out on RAW all mopey, about how he failed to end The Undertaker's streak, and then out dances Brian Kendrick. HBK makes a remark about Kendrick being his old student, and Kendrick talks about how all anyone has ever said about Taker vs. Michaels is how fucking great it was, and that all the young kids should take a look at it, and analyse it. Kendrick says that's crap, and he plays a video of HBK taking unneccessary risks and making himself look "foolish." HBK goes to Superkick Kendrick, but Spanky flies out of the ring, and says he will face HBK when he is good and ready, but Vickie Guerrero signs the match for Backlash. The question is whether The Brian Kendrick can be a "man with a plan" by Backlash. During the match, a cloaked figure takes out Shawn Michaels as he is looking for the Sweet Chin Music, and The Brian Kendrick scores a massive upset over his mentor with The Kendrick.

Matt Hardy & The Miz vs. Jeff Hardy & John Morrison

Rivalries between former tag team partners minces. Matt Hardy & The Miz represent RAW against Jeff Hardy & the still technically heel, but also technically awesome, John Morrison. Jeffrey plays the face-in-peril during the match, and there is some doubt about whether or not he can trust Morrison. Johnny Nitro accepts the hot tag, though, and cleans awesome house on the faces. A cloaked figure takes Jeff Hardy out as he is looking for the Swanton Bomb on Matt Hardy, though, and a Twist of Fate ends it, with RAW getting the win, Matt Hardy getting further bragging rights over Jeff, and The Miz hopefully getting some sort of credibility with a win over Morrison. It turns out that Matt Hardy & The Brian Kendrick have forged a working alliance together, to help each other get to the top.

Everything was good until you started in with TBK dude. Like I get the whole fan of the dark horse gimmick. It's cool, but WWE booking an alliance between Fairycakes and Bowlegged Matt? No way in hell that goes down.

great card.... makes sense to me..... but will we see everything?... I highly doubt it.... heard HBK is taking time off.... wouldn't surprise me if we don't see him until after Backlash at the earliest.....

It's still way too early for MVP to have any program with another face, especially one as popular as Rey. Fans would turn on him quickly.

MVP vs Regal seems like a better choice at this point. I know it's a cheap, overdone way of drawing heat, but MVP as the American defending the US title against a Brit would get him a ton of support and solidify him as a face.

Can I just interrupt and say that I hope your scenario for the six-man tag doesn't come true, because that sounds like a massive let-down. Granted, it sounds like where WWE is heading with it, but I sure hope not. I mean, some dude couldn't control his temper and went too far beating up the top heel, so give the heel the championship belt? Isn't this why they usually don't have DQ-switches-the-title stipulations?

No, the alliance is between Matt and Miz. Which, really, wouldn't be unrealistic. But I'd rather test the main event waters with Matt andsee what happens before sticking him in a tag team.

Sometimes I mix fantasy with reality. If it were up to me, truthfully, then I believe that Triple H should keep the WWE Championship. It's the decision the WWE went with at WrestleMania, and I think they should stick to it. At least until a better situation to switch the belt onto Orton plays out (for example: Hell in a Cell). I truthfully see that being the outcome of the match, though. Either that or Shane turning on Trips and Bats leading to Orton & Shane vs. Triple H & Batista at Judgment Day.

Also, with the DQ/countout title change stip in place, it seems heightened that the WWE will put that into effect. I mean, if the six-man is designed to get the WWE Title off Triple H whilst making him look untouchable, someone else getting DQ'd is the strongest way to do it.

And yeah, The Brian Kendrick vs. Shawn Michaels IS NOT going to happen. It's something I'd strictly want to see. Kendrick has been moved to the premier brand, which I just don't fathom as being punishment. Also, while his match against Kane was quick, Kendrick was chosen to represent SmackDown! on the three-hour episode of RAW. The WWE knows how good the kid is, and has thought about pushing him in the past. If Dolph Ziggler can get random pushes after being suspended and having injury scares; The Brian Kendrick could perhaps get a match against the man who trained him.

I love angles where a bunch of rising talent works together to with the "pack mentality" thing. The Spirit Squad (minus the cheerleader gimmick) intrigued me because it was five guys making their debut and combining their talents to make sure they got places. I also loved The New Breed in ECW.

I originally had Shawn Michaels vs. Matt Hardy down as a match, with Matt in Kendrick's place, linking HBK's risk taking against Taker to his brother's stupid risks, but the idea of the tag team match was too fun for me to resist.

MVP vs. Regal would be awesome, and I truly believe the only reason that Regal is still on RAW is so that MVP has a credible insta-challenger for the US Title. But, it feels like a TV match to me. I think they need to build it to at least Judgment Day.

Rey vs. MVP could divide the fans, and I thought about that, but I think both fan followings would show up, and the match they'd work would hopefully show MVP looking respectful towards Rey. A face vs. face style match, rather than MVP playing the heel.

That tag match you listed as last would be ok for like a rubber match between the Hardys, but I would like to see them solve their differences in a TLC match this time around. Ultimately, I'd like to see it end with an "I Quit" match between the two of them at WWE ONS: Extreme Rules, with a "Loser leaves the WWE" stip on it.

Does Willow the Whisp take Jeff's place?

I believe we will eventually get a TLC Match between Matt and Jeff, or a Ladder Match of some kind. They need to fight over something, though. Also, I think that match is so wanted, that the WWE can build to it. They're obviously still hinting at Matt vs. Jeff, so I don't expect there to be a shortage between interpromotional matches here and there between the two.

After the first 3matches of your card Noid, i would add:

Morrison V The Miz(Miz wins, just to shock the crowd and make Miz look like he'll be decent on raw)

Matt Hardy V Jeff Hardy(Steel Cage match-Jeff wins)

Kane v Rey- IC Title(these two have some history feuding so would be a good start for the IC title on smackdown- Kane wins the title)

Smackdown v Raw tag team match:

Jericho/ Cm Punk V Big Show/Mr.Kennedy( Jericho costs smackdown the match by turning against CM Punk allowing Big Show/Kennedy to win the match for Raw, which starts off a Punk/Jericho feud)

Best I could come up with right now.

On SmackDown!, it was revealed that Matt & Jeff Hardy would face each other in an I Quit Match at Backlash. My guess is this is where Jeff finally gets his "revenge" against Matt Hardy, as Matt just says "I quit" to escape too much of a beating at the hands of Jeff.

"I Quit," "Last Man Standing," and a 6-Man Tag with the WWE title on the line? Is this Backlash or Extreme Rules?

Extreme Rules will be Elimination Chambers, Hell in a Cells and Kennel from Hell matches.

Probably a flaming table match, too, for good measure.

I was gonna put an I Quit match between them on my card, but prefer steel cage matches.

If you want to make it so horrible then why don't you just call for a Punjabi Prison match.

Or WCW's famous Doomsday Triple Cage Match. Legacy vs McMahons (Steph/Vince/Shane/Linda/HHH) to settle it once and for all.

am I the only one who sees a Batista heel turn?

I can see possibly a Shane-O one too, with the whole 2nd generation thing (and the rumor ages ago that he or Steph was the manager behind Legacy)

Also, as much as i'd like to see all three belts switch onto Orton, Edge and Christian, I dunno if that will happen.

Oh and of course there's always the possibility that CM Punk will cash in his briefcase and bring home a world title for his show that doesn't have one... again?

What Would Kevin Do?

You know what I'd love to see? Have everyone in the tag match get knocked out, etc, only for CM Punk to come out, cash in the MitB, and pin HHH right there... Then he could leave with the belt while the tag match is still going on, except there's no belt for the winner anymore...

It seems that this could end up being the Backlash card:

* John Cena vs. Edge in a Last Man Standing Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
* Triple H, Batista & Shane McMahon vs. Legacy with the WWE Championship on the line
* Jack Swagger vs. Christian for the ECW Championship
* Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy in an I Quit Match
* Chris Jericho vs. Ricky Steamboat
* MVP vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE United States Championship
* CM Punk vs. Kane
* Khali Kiss Cam: Starring Santina Marella
