Right now we have three matches confirmed. They are the World Title matches, but besides that, do we have any idea what the card is going to be? Sounds like a mad dash to the finish. Anyway, in the absence of any real clues with the draft being all the talk right now, what would you like to see take place at Backlash?
Last Man Standing Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
John Cena vs. Edge
Big Show gets involved on Vickie Guerrero's behalf, and knocks Cena out with the KO Punch, and holds Edge up. Vickie and her husband are no longer a "power couple," but she gives him one last gift with her authority before the brand split separates them.
Six-Man Tag Team Match with the WWE Championship on the line
Triple H, Batista & Shane McMahon vs. Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase
Batista gets carried away taking his frustrations out on Randy Orton, which gets him disqualified, and moves the WWE Championship over to Randy Orton, and creates a lot of fucking tension between The Game and The Animal.
ECW Championship
Jack Swagger vs. Christian
I can't see Christian losing this match and keeping momentum. Swagger has looked good so far, but does he really need to be ECW Champion forever? Christian gets the pin here with The Killswitch, and begins his first reign as a "World Champion."
Champion vs. Champion
MVP vs. Rey Mysterio
This would just be a cool match, and it gets both mid-card champions on the PPV. They sort of teased this by having Mysterio draft MVP over to SmackDown!. They don't need a story, Vickie Guerrero can just sign some champion vs. champion matches for the PPV, saying she reached an agreement with Teddy Long. The WWE loves their own creation, so Rey would probably go over here, although MVP would look strong as hell.
Champion vs. Champion Match
Maryse vs. Melina
The ladies get on PPV, and this RAW Divas vs. SmackDown! Divas stuff goes somewhere. Maryse gets the win, because she has been awesome, and the WWE needs to boost the credibility of that championship. Melina's next feud can cost her the match.
Shawn Michaels vs. The Brian Kendrick
Yeah, it's a pipe-dream. Get fucking over it. This can be set up with a simple promo. HBK comes out on RAW all mopey, about how he failed to end The Undertaker's streak, and then out dances Brian Kendrick. HBK makes a remark about Kendrick being his old student, and Kendrick talks about how all anyone has ever said about Taker vs. Michaels is how fucking great it was, and that all the young kids should take a look at it, and analyse it. Kendrick says that's crap, and he plays a video of HBK taking unneccessary risks and making himself look "foolish." HBK goes to Superkick Kendrick, but Spanky flies out of the ring, and says he will face HBK when he is good and ready, but Vickie Guerrero signs the match for Backlash. The question is whether The Brian Kendrick can be a "man with a plan" by Backlash. During the match, a cloaked figure takes out Shawn Michaels as he is looking for the Sweet Chin Music, and The Brian Kendrick scores a massive upset over his mentor with The Kendrick.
Matt Hardy & The Miz vs. Jeff Hardy & John Morrison
Rivalries between former tag team partners minces. Matt Hardy & The Miz represent RAW against Jeff Hardy & the still technically heel, but also technically awesome, John Morrison. Jeffrey plays the face-in-peril during the match, and there is some doubt about whether or not he can trust Morrison. Johnny Nitro accepts the hot tag, though, and cleans awesome house on the faces. A cloaked figure takes Jeff Hardy out as he is looking for the Swanton Bomb on Matt Hardy, though, and a Twist of Fate ends it, with RAW getting the win, Matt Hardy getting further bragging rights over Jeff, and The Miz hopefully getting some sort of credibility with a win over Morrison. It turns out that Matt Hardy & The Brian Kendrick have forged a working alliance together, to help each other get to the top.
