First and foremost hello all i have finally joined tpww boards!!! Now on to what the guy who goes over the wrestling news seems to think that CM punk will cash his money in the bank against edge but, I have found a better scenario that i think they might do at backlash or judgement day! HHH and Orton will continue to fight over the title until Orton wins! Orton will celebrate and then CM punk will come out and cash in his money in the bank. Reason being who was the one who screwed cm punk it was Orton and what better way to get back Orton then by taking away his title that he won. Easy book and great redemption story line. You heard it from me first fellas no one else I am calling it!!!
I think he will cash in against Brock Lesnar at UFC 100

Punk is gonna lose the case to somebody in a match. It makes more sense that way. They could treat the briefcase like a title and have matches for it instead of someone cashing it in by June like has happened every other time.

This time I'd be cool if he said when he was going to cash it in ahead of time like RVD did. It kind of defeats the purpose, but it could also give CM Punk a credible title win.

Am I the only one hoping that this time, maybe, just maybe, he cashes in the briefcase and *gasp* doesn't win?
I'm sorry, but I simply can not buy CM Punk as a credible World Champion. Much like if Rey had ever won a World Title I wouldn't have been able to count that either. There are some guys who have NO PROBLEM getting over with the crowd, and truly, don't need the belt. Remember when people could have lively discussions about the best guy to never win a World Belt? Seriously...who's the last guy that was over enough to be a World Title contender that didn't win it at least once? Scott Hall? (maybe Kennedy, but I'd need convincing)
What I'm getting at here is somehow in this day and age it's become like a dirty mark of shame to NOT have won a World Title. Doesn't that kind of defeat the point of having someone be "The Best" if it's treated with a revolving door policy?
I'm kind of loosing focus here, and at this point Punk has already won a big one, so it kind of it moot...but I'm still holding out that he cashes in and doesn't win.
(Side Note: I fully expect him to take one of the belts to SmackDown at Backlash)
TOVO Fact: Tovo's favorite ladder match? Jericho/Benoit...bet 99% are shocked to hear that.

By the way, I'm actually a fan of Punk. I'd love to see him win one of the second tier titles (IC or preferably US, but brand wise that doesn't make sense) and just have him run with that title. I mean like a legendary RVD streak with it. He never talks about the World Title, all he does is talk about what the IC belt means to him. Have him go with that for, I don't care how long, in my dreams he'd have it for 2 years or so... I mean it, I'm a really big Punk mark, I just don't buy him as a legit World Champ.
TOVO Fact: Tovo laughed his ass off at the Star Trek Family Guy episode.

I wouldnt mind seeing Punk cash in money in the bank and turn heel.

The only way he could turn heel is if he lost his shot to somebody like Hardy.
I hate you for being a CM Punk mark.

I think this time around that Punk should announce it ahead of time.
This is how I would plan it out. Orton/HHH program is over and Orton is World Champion throughout the Spring and Summer. Then, Orton/Batista are having a program over the title, and Orton defeats Batista at Great American Bash to retain.
Next night on RAW, Orton cuts a promo, etc etc. Out comes Batista and kicks his ass (ala Edge from last summer). Orton is laid out in the middle of the ring, and Batista leaves.
Punk's music cues and does the exact same thing he did last year, but as he is about to hand the briefcase over, he pulls it back and changes his mind. Instead, Punk grabs a mic and cuts a promo on a nearly unconscious Orton.
Punk is reminding him of what Orton did do him last Fall about ending his title reign and his dreams, etc. And that if he wanted to, he could take back his Championship right now, but he won't. He goes onto say that he is out to prove that he doesn't need an assist or a sneak attack to win a World Championship, and ends the promo with announcing that he will cash in his Money in the Bank at Summerslam against Orton.
I think this would add a lot to Punk's character, and if this match is given 5-7 week build based on their storied past, it would make for a great main event, and CM Punk would be considered a main event player if he won or lost his match at Summerslam.

I think that is a great scenario. The only thing that would make that scenario better is if Summerslam happened to be in Chicago, as opposed to Judgement Day.
Still, that sounds great and if I had my way it would happen.
Whether he won or lost it'd be great. In fact, I almost want to say I'd prefer him losing in a heartbreaker after a good 25 minute barnburner. Him coming close, and his opponent sneaking away with the victory would make CM Punk want the title even more in kayfabe, and the fans want it even more in real life.
From there, they could focus on building him back on his hunt for the title, only to capture it in another bigtime match.

If Randy Orton has won the WWE Title at WrestleMania, I would have had CM Punk confront Orton during the opening segment of RAW, and remind Orton of what he did to Punk, and how he can take that WWE Title from him any time he wants. Orton tries to get in Punk's head by saying he can cash in when he's down and out, but if Punk was real World Title material, he'd announce the match in advance, so it can end the same way Punk's World Heavyweight Title run ended...with a punt to the head. Punk says that maybe he will, and leaves it at that.
John Cena gets drafted to SmackDown!, and takes the World Heavyweight Title over there, and Punk announces that he is facing Randy Orton at Judgment Day in Chicago for the WWE Title. Punk wins that match cleanly, and Punk's star is made.

See, now that at least makes sense.
