...Stone Cold and/or The Rock never did a guest appearance on The Simpsons?

Almost everybody who's anybody from movies/music/comedy/sports or just pop culture, has done a guest spot on The Simpsons.

With wrestling, and particularly those two guys, being such a part of pop culture and stardom in the late 90s I'm suprised they never showed up on the show for the novelty of it all.

Stone Cold DID have an appearance on Dilbert though!

And I remember how the WWF made SUCH a big deal out of Bret Hart being on the Simpsons (Bart Foundation and all) and then he was on it for like a total of a minute and a half or something.

It is a bit odd, but at that point in time, perhaps The Simpsons still had enough quality to not book guest stars for the hell of it? They also might have come down from their stronger seasons enought that they were conscious about who they used. I dunno.

Austin was a time traveler in the Poke of Zorro.

Bret Hart represented the WWE on the Simpsons. Please do your research before posting.

That is surprising that they were never on the show. They were two of the biggest stars in the world and not on the Simpsons. I am a huge fan of Bret Hart, but he was not as big of a star as Austin or the Rock in the 90s..IMO

Macho Man seems like the kind of guy who should guest star, too.

Also, Hogan.

There have been a few (real-world) wrestling references, though.

If he had said "why has no wrestler ever appeared on the Simpsons?", I'd agree with you. But as the question asked was "why did neither Steve Austin nor The Rock ever appear on the Simpsons?", why don't you do your research before posting?

And by "research" I simply mean actually reading the posts you are replying to. Cheers.

I know the Macho Man was a voice on King of the Hill once.

And am I the only person who felt that did not sound like Bret Hart on The Simpsons?

Yeah, it never sounded like Bret.

I'm sure Jeritron had no idea of this fact. Thank you for informing him, because he definitely did not know beforehand. Now he can go change his avatar to reflect this newly gleamed knowledge.

Yeah, it never sounded like Bret.

I think what happened was, he was never supposed to play Bret Hart, just a generic wrestler. So he probably just belted out some generic growly wrestling lines.

Then, after the audio was recorded, some genius at the Simpsons realised that this Bret Hart fella was actually quite well-known and popular, and so they instructed the animators to include the image of Bret Hart rather than this generic wrestler they had planned.

Given the irresponsible way that he presented his facts, I have no reason to believe otherwise.

Although your sarcasm has been duly noted. :y:

On another unrelated matter, the XFL was poked fun at on the Simpsons once.

XFL could have been a great success had they played their games during the regular Football season. No matter how popular a sport is, there will always be offseasons for the fans. Football is no exception. This is one of the main reasons why the XFL failed. The storyline idea however, was a good idea and I wished the WWE had gone through with that.

Macho Man on Space Ghost is pretty much better than any other possible wrestler appearance spot.

There was no implication that no one ever represented WWE on the Simpsons. The question was why the two big pop culture wrestling stars of the late 90's/00's never appeared.

Just stop trying. lol
