.... from the SD/ECW House Show in Birmingham, England...

For those that care, see the below - for those that don't, bugger off!

WWE WRESTLEMANIA REVENGE TOUR

THE LG ARENA – BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND
WEDNESDAY 22 APRIL 2009

EVAN BOURNE over TYSON KIDD

6 DIVA TAG TEAM MATCH
THE BELLA TWINS & GAIL KIM over NATALYA KATIE LEA BIRCHILL & MARYSE

TRIPLE THREAT UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
MVP over SHELTON BENJAMIN & R-TRUTH

BELFAST BRAWL
FINLAY over MARK HENRY

ECW CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
JACK SWAGGER over CHRISTIAN

JEFF HARDY over MATT HARDY

2 ON 3 HANDICAP MATCH
UNDERTAKER & HHH over LEGACY

Show notes:
The LG Arena was close to capacity, so around 10,000 though not sold out. Biggest pops of the night were for, by far, HHH, Hardy and Undertaker, with Hardy perhaps edging it.

Serious heat for ring announcer Justin Roberts, poor guy. DX’s music hits and the place goes a little wild as it forgets itself, thinking maybe the duo are back together... Roberts gets on then kills the buzz, getting on the mic to plug that Tickets for the November UK Tour – entitled the DX invasion tour... Don’t think the crowd appreciated it. Big boos also for John Cena... he wasn’t even in the building put a promo for 12 Rounds didn’t go down too well with Birmingham.

Not too sure if MVP is carrying an injury on the tour, but he spent at least half of the triple threat match sat outside of the ring adjusting boots etc

Interesting mess-up before the ECW Title match – Tiffany comes out to do the ring announcing and though Christian’s music starts, she introduces Swagger. The music continues to play until it’s clearly realised that she isn’t going to correct herself, and Swagger’s music is switched on...

No matches really stand out, though the Hardys’ was a good effort, and HHH/Undertaker worked the crowd like true veterans.. The house almost game unglued as HHH reached Taker for the hot tag.

That's pretty much the same show I saw on Monday, except you had a much better main event.

Was there a titantron there for a house show? You said something about the 12 rounds promo.

LOL, that sounds awesome.

Yeah, sorry, that was just an announced promo. Roberts does the whole 'Starring JOOOOOOOHN CEEEEEEENA' thing, and it isn't well recieved. No Tron, though.

Thanks for posting the pic of the Honey Monster. Can anyone say that isn't what Hulk is heading towards...?

How hot is Gail Kim by the way?

Lol I marked out for the Honey Monster.

And the DX thing you said they did, they did the same on Monday in Cardiff, but they also had the Undertaker's druid music play and they actually bought out a casket onto the stage which made everyone go crazy, only for Roberts to tell us that when the WWE returns to Cardiff in November, the Undertaker will have a casket match! :|

Harsh!! Being a Raw fan mostly, I've not seen a live SD show in a while and haven't seen taker at all since he was doing his biker gimmick back in 2001, so I marked out big time for him.

With more house shows to do, and Backlash in the States on Sunday followed by Raw, you could be forgiven for thinking some would want to phone in their efforts for shows like this, but they really put on some good stuff.

I'm 23 and have been watching wrestling for as long as I can remember... It's just nice to see so many young kids at their first live event, wide-eyed and amazed. Fantastic, and well done WWE!

But seriously... Gail Kim..?

Did Taker cover himself in water and hulk up Ultimate Warrior style?

He did. Thought he was drunk for a minute. More than a bit out of character but very funny. Tis why I love House Shows!
