And if John Cena started pulling five star matches and cutting promos like the Rock, he'd be the most respected wrestler. Fandom tends to work that way.

Taker, as I dont care for Flair, and HBK is hated by some here.
Wait, so are you saying that because you don't care for Flair, that makes him not respected by the majority? Taker's doing the best work of his career right now, but if he retired tomorrow I would actually be happy.

John Cena for various reasons.

If you look past the part that he is horrible to watch, Cena is actually pretty respected around here. I think we all acknowledge his hard work ethic, charisma, and his ability to be professional in the public and before the eyes of the media as the face of the company.

Why are people saying Ric Flair? He asked about wrestlers.

The Great Khali is a fantastic human being, but I wouldn't call him "the most respected." The quality of the product they put out has to have something to do with it.

I think, with a few exceptions, Chris Jericho and Edge are sneaking up there in levels of respect. As are guys like Kane and Big Show.

Cena's own merits are fine. It's the writing.
And it's not like Khali is doing the type of stuff Cena is doing to the extent he's doing it.

Cena's merits are fine. So were D'Lo Brown's. Yeah, it's the writing, but I still wouldn't call Cena the most respected.

Never said he was most respected. Said he was "pretty respected". Also, comparing him to Khali and D'Lo isn't a good analogy because neither of them were THE face of the company.

Why should being THE face automatically equate to most respected? We might as well talk about who is the hardest pushed wrestler.

Again, I did not say most respected. I merely stated that John Cena is "pretty respected" after Moonraker made a post suggesting John Cena in what I took to be, but may not have actually been, a sarcastic way.

I get ya, it's just why bring up John Cena's respect levels at all in a thread about respect levels in anything but a sarcastic way?

Noid shut up. Cena is respected around here, therefore he is right you are wrong. Stop trying to argue over nothing.
Noid is shitting on Cena yet will book every non-drawable wrestler ever into main event scenarios.
Noid, Cena is respected around here, as he should be. He does A LOT for the company. Maybe not "the most" respected, but he's respected.

How has nobody said Steve Austin?
In all my years here on TPWW, I truly don't think I've seen one negative posting about him, or even anyone suggesting that he might be over rated.
Is there anyone here who DOESN'T respect Stone Cold? I think there are poster who have other wrestlers higher on their list, but across the entire forum, I think Steve is the all around most respected guy here.

I don't like Stone Cold. Only times I enjoyed him were his feud with Bret and his heel turn where he was all hugging Vince all the time.
Also, who doesn't like Ice Cream when it is warm?

I don't, it melts quicker than I eat it, and then it's just that gross milky cream with sprinkles floating in it.
Also, YOU TOOL! Why must you defy my half assed generalization? You've completely killed my credibility in this thread and I must now sink away into the shadows only to reemerge to destroy you and your valids points when you least expect it....
TOVO Fact: Tovo radiates light and therefore hiding in the shadows may appear like some to remain in constant sight...

Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Lance Storm, Eddie Guerreno, RVD, Steve Austin, and maybe once upon a time, Chris Benoit. Although I haven't really hung out here much after his death. I know when I first came on here, he was pretty respected.
For years, those above guys were/are pretty respected by the smarks.
