Not really. I just felt like making the thread title.

But seriously, do you care for Swagger?

Now that the ECW title is off of him and he wasn't moved in the draft, where do you think he'll go?

Will they give up on him? Will he be elevated?

He'll get the title back eventually. I don't see him getting moved from ECW for at least 2 drafts, I think he's gonna be ready after this year, but I don't think Vince will.

Two drafts? I think that might be too long term for WWE. If he doesn't get moved next year, I think that would be a sign of WWE giving up on him.

And I don't think he'll be getting the title back. I'm feeling like Kozlov is the next ECW champion.

I'm not saying he's getting it back right away, I think it's Kozlov's next too, but maybe September or October, he'll get another run.

I have only seen a couple promos and one match. The one at Backlash. But after seeing him I don't see how he will ever be given up on. He's awesome in the ring, and his promos are solid.

I just don't know what they can do to keep him fresh until then. It's an hour show. They don't really have much room for anything outside the world title picture. Just look at what has happened to Mark Henry after losing the title. If they don't find a way to move him at some point relatively soon I have a feeling he's gonna be forgotten about. Unless they are actually serious about making a steady mid-card (for lack of a better term) division on ECW.

Some of his moveset reminds me of Angle, obv from the background. I don't mind him at all, I recall someone saying he was a mix of Angle and Lesnar. To an extent I agree, but I doubt he'll do anything good in the next few years.

WWE needs to focus on their lower end storylines, otherwise people just aren't going to give a fuck about what's around. Well, the kids will and I guess that's the WWE target market nowadays.

I don't hate him. As long as he stays midcard for a long while to build out of his generic gimmick I'll be happy.

that match with Christan was fucking terrible, he fucked up plenty of times. He'll show up on TNA

I think they will pull Christian from ECW before they pull Swagger. If that happens I hope Swagger is the guy that takes the belt from him instead of it being a game of catch to someone else. Until then, as long as they let him wrestle someone with a bit of experience (hard to find on ECW) because I'm not sure he is ready to run a match by himself and keep him away from Kozlov, he should be fine.

I'd be surprised if he's still on ECW by the next draft, for better or worse. It's not like the finality of the roster is ever really final, and they'll probably move him up or move on on him before the year's up.

Swagger is the man. I really wish he would have held the ECW title until at least Summerslam, though. Really not much for him to do in the land of extreme anymore.

I agree that there's not much for him left to do but gain the ECW title back...he'll probably meddle around until he gets in a feud for the title again, which is probably a couple title transitions away. I see Kozlov taking the belt from Christian, and Evan Bourne taking it from Kozlov. Swagger could then take it from Bourne.

Of course, if they actually wanted to follow through on the Dreamer storyline instead of jobbing him out every week, they could speed things up and have Christian drop the belt to Dreamer, then have Swagger cheat to beat Dreamer for the title before he can retire as champion.

Both ideas probably require advance planning, and we know that's not WWE's thing. He'll probably spend a few months beating local jobbers and Ricky Ortiz or something until they decide to move him to Raw.

I haven't seen much of Swagger, but I gotta say I fucking hate the dance/pose he does during his entrance. He looks like a fucking ape, and it just generally looks dumb and retarded.

I think they should rename him the All-American Cheese, and his gimmick could be that he really likes omelettes.

At this point, they should just keep him the All-American-American and have his ass bought out by soe Chinese dude.

lol lisp.

That's all I have to say. I can't take him seriously during a promo because of it.

I don't think the WWE will give up on Swagger. They're giving him too many chances to shine and correct any mistakes he makes. He's less than a year into his WWE run, and he's already been given more than a lot of people ever get. He's got more than a few stinkers and bad decisions to go before the WWE pulls the plug on The All-American American.

No doubt the WWE will do Christian vs. Vladimir Kozlov, but I think the lack of real heat or investment in Kozlov will actually lead to the WWE deciding to do the right thing, and not putting the ECW Title on Kozlov for the hell of it. My guess is that Christian retains there, and eventually drops the title back to Swagger. TAA then goes to RAW in the draft next year as a big pick.

I'm also thinking right now that Jack Swagger has got a very good shot at becoming the 2009 King of the Ring if they do a tournament this year. It's just something on Swagger's resume that can keep his head above water while they are killing time with him, and allow him that extra boost of credibility when they do decide to really get behind him.
