How is there no thread on this.
Good Flick, was really into it. A few "WTF, Seriously?" moments towards the end, but all in all it was a good movie.

I accidentally read the spoilers in the form of the book a few years ago.

i never read the book either... all the movie was basically a sight seeing trip around rome and vatakin city. If you cut out all the middle parts and looked at the characters in the beginning and at the end you might be suprised on who was the bad guy, but they way they developed the characters, it was real clear who the main antagonist was even before they showed the proof at the end as a twist.

Thought it was a decent flick, and I hadn't read the book beforehand. I think they did a good job of making it a standalone movie, with only a couple references to Langdon's run-ins with the church but nothing specific.
There were a few moments that stretched the boundaries of believability, and it seemingly took forever to finally wrap up the movie. If you hadn't already figured out the ending, it became blatantly clear with about 20 minutes left.
Still a decent movie, though, and didn't really mind that I paid the $12 to go see it instead of just waiting for a link to pop up online.

I called the antagonist within 5 minutes of him popping up onscreen. Seriously.
This certainly isn't a movie for people that read the book. And I'm not even talking about knowing the ending ( there are some plot changes though ) but the fact that they switched people's names , like one good guy is called like the bad guy in the book etc. Confusing as hell

Saw it today. IT was better than Da Vinci Code, but the book was better...and less confusing.

I only watched Da Vinci Code for the first time the other week.
It was okay. The explosion was sexy though.
