So... i'm interested in putting a bunch of pictures onto dvd... so that i can watch/view them on my dvd player. Anyone know of any good software applications that can accomplish this?

You can just use movie maker to put the show together. Create a avi file. Then use something like Nero to make it into a disc.

If you download Nero 8 it has Nero Vision on it which makes the disc for you. You can find loads of torrents for that.

The above is the most basic solution as you should already have movie maker, depending on how detailed you want your slide show to be.

I have Sony Vegas and DVD architect, I use them for a range of reasons and the software is amazing, but it may not meet your needs for making basic slide shows.

Also depending on if you want to add things to the pics themseleves, you might want to think about something like Adobe Photoshop, you can then crop the pics and put different backgrounds in and just mess about with the pic etc.

If you want more advice on how to use any of these tools, just type it into youtube, that's how I leraned, there's loads of tutorials which show you the basics of all apps.
