Best/Worst Character 2: Snatch

After the rousing two page success of last week (3 days ago) and the discussion (pictures of action figures), this week I thought I would try a few new things. First, a regularly weekly date. Tune in every Monday for your new Best/Worst Character Discussion! Second, feel free to PM me some suggestions for movies you might like to see discussed. Now on to the movie. Can we reach multiple pages with a movie that had no line of action figures released?

I am NOT going to go with obvious responses and say Bricktop or Tony. Great characters but they get enough love already.


Instead I will give a lot of love to our negro trio of Solomon, Vincent, and Tyrone. They played the bumbling idiots role as well as I've seen in ages.

Worst character? That's tough. None of the principal characters rubbed me the wrong way. The one part of the movie I think is stupid is when Doug the Head is talking to his twin daughters and they say "Yeah Dad you told us" in unison. That annoys me. So I guess for worst character I'll say Doug's daughters.

I'm really having a hard time with this one. There are so many characters to love and so few characters to hate.

For best character I will pick Boris the Bullet Dodger. Makes me laugh with everything he says. Close runner-up is Turkish.

Worst character is hardest. I don't think there is an actual "weak character" here, so without picking a random pikey or Mickey's mom, I will say Frankie Four Fingers because he spends most of the movie tied up. Dunno.

Going with an obvious choice here: Mickey. He stole the show in alot of scenes even though you had no fucking clue what he was saying most of the time.

Worst... dunno. The dog.

Definitely agree with Supreme on Sol, Vincent, and Tyrone. Don't think there was a single scene of theirs I didn't laugh at.

I feel like people are avoiding Bullet Tooth Tony because Supreme gave it this uncool feeling in his post, but overloved or not, he is amazing. His facial expressions are hilarious, his delivery is spot-on. Even as a character, he is tremendously badass. Definitely ties with Boris though because that Russian is hilarious.

It's been said but pretty much all the principal characters were great. If I had to pick, I'd say Frankie Four Fingers because he is like the Muldoon of this film: he starts off all intimidating but winds up being disposed of really easily by something he should have seen coming.

Even Frankie is a tough call though since he does have that awesome opening scene. It's unfortunate for him that everyone else is so good and he spends the rest of the movie tied up/dead.

I have to agree that Solomon, Vincent, and Tyrone kind of stole the show in a sense, but I have to go with Mickey as the overall best character in the movie.

Haven't seen this movie in a couple of years, I need to watch it again. Maybe in the Vault??

Best Character is Turkish... I dunno Jason Statham is at his peak as Turkish... instead of playing the uber superman badass, he is this subtle badass having to fight the odds of a world he is just over his head in, and somehow holds his own.

Worst Character- Mullet, cuz well, everyone else is awesome.
