Best/Worst Character 3: Fast Times At Ridgemont High

We travel back to the year 1982, when babes were still bodacious, when David Lee Roth was still part of Van Halen, and when catching a tasty wave was all you needed to be the big man on campus. This week, we take you to the halls of Ridgemont High. Be gentle, I just switched to Sanka.

I'm voting for Mike Damone as best character.

Mr. Hand and Judge Reinhold's characters are up there too. Obviously Spicoli is amazing, but he just seems like more of a one-liner factory, where the other ones are just hilarious as people, and not stereotypes.

Forrest Whitaker's little brother might be my real favorite character. It's close. I give it to Damone because of sheer screen time.


Worst Character: Forrest Whitaker's character. Not even that bad, but I just get a bigger kick out of everyone else.
I would say Jennifer Jason Leigh, but she's too interesting/important to the plot.

Best character: Brad Hamilton (Judge Reinhold). He plays the stick-up-his ass brother perfectly and his look and voice make the character so perfectly awkward.

Worst character: Stacy Hamilton (Jennifer Jason Leigh) I completely hate the actress in this role. I can't put my finger on why. She just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's the role itself. Maybe it's both. I don't really feel any empathy for her at all.
