Well, that is not completely true. Actually yes, for the most part it is completely true. They are completely overdone, at least in the WWE, since it seems that bunching together six wrestlers who all have separate feuds into some six man tag team match is the only way to develop their pay per view matches. The whole set up of it is annoying as well. Something about having a wrestler on the ring post waiting to be tagged is really irritating, I say at the same level as waiting in line at the post office.

The worst kind are the mixed tag team matches, where you have Test and Albert with Trish Stratus against Bull Buchanon, Steven Richards, and Ivory. Or like a tag team match with Hornswoggle in it against the Highlanders.

Part 1: Face team takes upper hand on heels

Part 2: Heel team uses cheap tactic to gain control

Part 3: Heel team keeps one member of face team away from partner and works him over

Part 4: Face almost makes tag, but not quite - beatdown from Heel team continues

Part 5: Face makes the hot tag - Partner goes to town

Part 6: Faces get the pinfall/submission victory --OR-- Heels cheat to get the win

It's all so tired.

The matches are also meaningless. What difference does it make if the team of Batista and Gangrel beat Al Snow and Shawn Stasiak?

Shine, cutoff, heat, hope, comeback, finish. Pretty much the average layout for any kind of match but the better the workers, the less you notice

I think it is because the tag team division stinks now. The way to make the Tag matches better is to get a better tag division.

No, this has been going on for longer than just now.

Go back to an episode of Smackdown in 1999. TONIGHT IT WILL BE...THE UNDERTAKER...AND THE ROCK...VERSUS...THE BIG BOSSMAN...AND...KEN SHAMROCK! *crowd goes apeshit*

You can't have Undertaker versus Stone Cold every week, that's why. And you also can't have a Raw that is comprised of all backstage segments, try as they might.

I hate random main event tag matches like what you're talking about.

But actual team vs. actual team can be good. Like, The Colons and Miz and Morrison early in the year were putting on great tag matches.

There are just better ways to build feuds without throwing two singles feuds into one tag match. You just have to be... ya know... creative.

WWE tag matches are shitty.

And I didn't even know there were good tag matches untill I leared of The Briscoe Brothers.

One thing I don't like about WWE tag team matches, is that they don't really count. A team should win a tag team match, and a team should lose. If a guy isn't pinned in a tag team match, it's like they don't count it as losing. Last week, John Cena's team beat The Miz's team, but The Miz is still acting like that doesn't count as a loss -- yes, I know he is a heel, but that's just an example.

It's also my problem with Battle Royals -- you should win or you lose. It takes away drama if there is 1 winner and 19 non-winners.

Also, the lack of real tag teams does suck. I wish some guys would get called up from FCW. I think they've got like one or two good teams down there. You've got The Hart Trilogy, Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas and Cryme Tyme, but they're all spread out across the brands. And who exactly are Carlito & Primo feuding with? The Brian Kendrick. One man. Awesome.

<font color=goldenrod>I actually wonder what they are doing with Kendrick. His failed quest to find a partner continues this week apparently as he teams with Jamie Noble.

I can definitely see WWE just dropping it and forgetting about it though before he finds THE tag team partner.</font>

I dunno; they did this with The Hurricane, and then Rosey became his sidekick for two years. I'm sure TBK will either find a partner or maybe win the titles in a handicap match and be THE Tag Team Champion.

I hate this wheel, it's all flat and square, I can't even roll it because it's flat and square. I hate all wheels.

I think they are just spinning their wheels with The Brian Kendrick right now. They like him, but he's got an attitude they don't want to reward, so they'll showcase him and use him for comedy until he's sorted out. Meanwhile, the real teams are being built up on ECW and SmackDown!.

It's only a matter of time before The Hart Dynasty or The World's Greatest Tag Team hold the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship. You need a face team to drop it off to them.

It's very cool that Carlito & Primo have been Tag Team Champions for so long, in my opinion. Not exactly sure what are going on with the belts, but they have been champions to some degree for a long time. 256 days and counting, actually. It's a false prestige, but it looks good on paper.

It's all so tired.

All true, but you omitted two VERY important parts:

Part 4A: Face makes tag, but referee had his back turned and forces fresh tag partner back out.

Part 4B: Heel DOESN'T tag his partner, referee DOESN'T see it, but allows fresh partner in.

That's when I was discussing the great psychology that occurred in the Macho Man versus Ricky Steamboat match at Wrestlemania.
