So Fight Club had a good run, but it was no match for a running fool from Alabama, and Forrest Gump takes its 1st step towards TPWW immortality.

Next up, we'll see what happens when a retard millionaire meets a genius janitor and a gorilla acting like a psychologist.

I'd also like to go on record as saying that I'm from Boston. Still...

Did not like Good Will Hunting except for Robin Williams.

Nothing against Good Will Hunting, I liked it a lot. But Forrest Gump seems like it'll be hard for anything to beat.

I voted for Good Will Hunting, and I'm not sure I have a good reason why. Haven't seen both in a while, so I don't really know.

Alright well since this still has two days to go and is looking like a blowout I have a question for everyone: would you prefer the voting system that is used for Better Wrestler where the opponents start out easier and gradually get harder or would you just prefer seeing really good movies face each other each week?

The increasing difficulty option is a bit more balanced and would ensure that one film wouldn't have an easier road to the hall of fame than another, but on the downside you'll have a lot of lopsided matchups that don't stir up much debate.

The other option would make for more exciting matchups like Pulp Fiction/Ghostbusters but it would be a LOT harder for films to actually win 5 straight matchups.

I don't really mind the system. Maybe make it four rounds to Hall of Fame though. With four you can get a "fun" round in if you want, then three hard rounds. You aren't going to run out of good HoF worthy movies like with Better Wrestler, so with less rounds it will still be hard.

give me an example a "fun" round

Tremors v. The Godfather

It's an option play. No one is going to vote Tremors over the Godfather, but you can use the round to let people say, "Oh yeah, I liked Tremors!" So you're really dealing with 3 real rounds, but probably 4.

Nah I couldn't give a fuck what makes the hall of fame or whatever, just make it good movies against good movies so its actually interesting.

That's the way I was thinking too, Ogen. But I didn't want to go all Nazi MMA Forum Mod on everyone and just do whatever I felt like.

Think about it, I'm generally right about everything and you are rarely wrong. Combined we basically have papal infallibility so theres no debate needed.

True. We should make hats.

You should just do good movies vs. good movies. There are probably enough good movies so that you won't run out of interesting matchups for a while.

I should just end this one now and start a new one.
