This is WWE, Supreme. For all you know he'll get the Cena Superman Face treatment.

Thanks for the back-up Xero. One must not assume shit in the WWE.

You don't have a marginal main event face use shady methods to beat the 2nd most over guy in your company to push him as a face.

I think that he'll feud with Edge first and it will end up in the double turn that they've been teasing with Edge going face and Punk going heel out of it. Then when Jeff comes back they'll have it right for Punk/Hardy which will be a great match.

You do IF that 2nd most over guy isn't resigning.

I was thinking the same thing when I watched this. Punk is not as over as he used to be and the crowd was visibly not happy with the turn of events at that moment.

is Hardys contract coming up soon?

Supreme Olajuwon

Look at his celebration after the match. No respect for Hardy. Punk's up on the turnbuckle screaming "What's my name?" at the audience. That's not a face.

Punk's was the start of a turn.

You could tell when Hardy kicked out of the GTS, I loved Punk's face there.

A face would of been on his knee's with his head in his hands with a 'I can't beleive he did that' look. Punk had more of a 'WTF?' look on his face, like he knew what he was going to do next and was getting frustrated.

Punk's full turn will come in the next few weeks.

Luger did it when he joined up with Race. It was against Windham in a cage match in the early 90's WCW.

I feel like there was more, but can't remember.

and yes, Big Show was a heel and Heyman screwed Lesnar and helped Show win the strap

Shawn Michaels. Montreal.

He was already heel, he had been fueding with the Undertaker. Plus DX was heel to begin with.

Now, see, this is usually the time when I would go rabbitting on about Montréal here. But I won't. As test4champ says, HBK was already a heel... in Canada and the UK! In the US, he may have been booked as a heel, or even a tweener, but from what I remember of 1997 WWF, he and DX seemed to get supreme face heat regardless.

I suppose being booked as one thing but getting the opposite kind of feedback from the fans is not quite the question here, but whether HBK actually turned at Montréal is debatable. I don't think we'll ever agree on that point.

If Punk turns heel does that mean Morrison will be the second biggest face on Smackdown?

Rob

2. Taker
3. Rey
4. Morrison

not quite yet

Lock Jaw

Oh right.

Though Taker is barely on the show.

And Rey isn't a face.

He's a mask! :shifty:

Then you remember incorrectly.

As for faces who turned heel during a World title win.... Sid Vicious had been a face until Survivor Series 1996 when he nailed Jose Lothario with a camera en route to winning the belt from HBK, and was booked as a heel thereafter.

Of course, the Madison Sq Garden crowd were more than happy to give him a heroes response, but it was meant to be his official heel turn. Bloody New Yawkers.

Maybe for the moment, but it'll be interesting to see what they do with Edge. Was humiliating Vickie on Raw the start of a subtle face turn, or just tying up loose ends kayfabe-wise?

Diamond Dallas Page won his first World Title against Sting, Hogan and Flair at Spring Stampede 1999. It is arguable to say that his heel turn didn't come until the following night on Nitro (Sting defeated him for the strap in the first hour, only to lose it back to DDP in a fatal fourway featuring Nash and Goldberg as well in the main event), but he did put Hogan (who was a face at the time) out of the match at Spring Stampede with a Figure Four around the ring post.

You guys suck at this. There have to be more.

Talkin bout the ECW title

This one is tricky. I think that Big Show aligning with Paul Heyman again was certainly a change to definite villainous waters, but after Big Show defected to ECW, I'm sure that he just beat up random people and was booked as a soulless monster. He was face before this, but I'm not sure if I'd have considered him a face during his ECW run prior to winning the ECW World Title, because he pretty much changed character as soon as he showed up, and it wasn't made clear that we were meant to like him.

But maybe I am incorrect about that?
