This is great! I never even saw or heard of this woman until, like a few months ago, and I tell ya, I thought she had by far the most annoying voice ever, and some of the very worst mic skills I ever heard, and was a major factor in why Raw was sucking. She's also very fat, ugly, does not know how to act, my god, teenagers in high school theater could act better, and she only got a job in WWE because of her husband, and she was too average looking to be in the wrestling business. She's not even the good kind of ugly! And now she's gone! Thank the wrestling Lord!

Look, I know there's a lot of "heel wrestling marks" on here, and probably quite a few guys who have only seen modern day WWE, and if you ever said "WWF" to them, they'd give you a :wtf: look, but all the same, surely there has to be at least one person who conquers about Vickie Guerrero and that thing inside her mouth! First, her gender means nothing. Great heels, like great faces, draw interest. Interest equals money. This is booking 101 but I'm being patient with you.
Second, where the fuck are you going with "heel wrestling marks"? Are you coupling me with them? I don't watch WWE anymore, but I have been a viewer since the WWF days. Still, I don't know why you mentioned this.

Vickie wasn't a good heel
She was a fucking great heel, sure it was stumbled on, almost in a Adamle kind of way, but she did hold her own, she knew how to work a crowd. Her delivery was sometimes off, but then she'd just add in an 'Excuse me' and she was back on track.
At first most of us thought it was horrid, but let it go as it was for Eddie's kids. In the end, she became an effective unit for heat and anyone that aligned themselves with her also got that heat. So she was very good at her job.
You don't have to be a wrestler to get heat. As you seem to think your some kind of wrestling historian please look up the following words:

Cornette
They were not wrestlers, yet got shitloads of heel heat, you don't have to wrestle to be a worker

Well, that was my honest reaction to her. I've been watching for a long time too, and I'd say she and that woman Triple H is banging have the worst mic skills ever. Benoit was never that great, but he was so damn scary looking and brilliant in the ring that it didn't matter, and he actually could act and convinced me he meant what he said, and wasn't just reading from a script, but his problem was, he just did it in a way that sadly wasn't exciting, but like I said, the man had "the glare" down perfectly, and could make his face beet red in rage....no murder jokes please. :)
Keep in mind, I'm a mark for the Hitman, and many say he had bad mic skills, but I thought he was brilliant.....to each their own I guess.

To call me an idiot is unfair. The wrestling business has been full of unique characters because it wants to attract every type of person who walks on this earth. This is not the first, or the last time I've disagreed with you guys about workers. Keep in mind, I have never really been a smark, and I have more of a "mark" point of view when it comes to the wrestling business.
...........Plus, you guys have always liked to cheer for the bad guy wrestlers, and you rarely see any foul on them, both professionally or personally, as marks and smarks, even though there have been plenty of crappy heel workers who deserve to be criticized just as much as the babyfaces. Really, I've seen you guys act like marks around the faces plenty of times where you're angry with their actions in the ring, but then will go smart mark on em' the next, and it's usually only the faces you do that with.

You can't change things like that, and anyone who does has an ego problem....trying to force your opinions as "facts". I can say why I feel one way, and the boys can say how they feel, but in the end, *my* opinion won't change. The whole neg-rape, lynch mob thing that goes on here anytime an outsider disagrees with the boys has never worked with me. I'll STILL come back, and say Hulk Hogan was the greatest wrestler of all time, and that Vickie Guerrero has the worst mic skills.
Really, I cannot even begin to understand why most of you would prefer Vickie Guerrero over Hulk Hogan. Seriously, I don't get that at all. But I know it's just your opinion, and you guys are just smarks being smarks.
And if Vickie Guerrero really has been the top heel in the business......then wrestling is in far worst shape then I thought it was. :n: She wouldn't have lasted 60 seconds in the late 90's, and would have been on the cover of the Wrestlecrap book right now.

I'm kind of sad to see Vickie go. She got tremendous heat, and in this day and age, that is a virtue that is rare to find. Back in the day, I questioned why the WWE brought her in as a "talent" when they could have just given her money to help out her and her family, but she truly evolved into a magnificent and stand-alone character.

Well, it's a message board, and I just read your opinion, so would it really kill you to return the favor? I mean, the business has a lot of different people, lot of different styles of wrestling, so you know it's going to attract different kinds of fans who aren't always going to agree with you. That's also why there's so much backstage nonsense because everyone views the wrestling world differently.

Well, I meant what I said. I don't think a non-wrestler should be the top heel. That's disrespectful to the wrestlers that are actually going out there, and killing themselves in the ring. Yeah, there's been a lot of classic heel managers but they never took the heat away from the wrestlers they were managing. At least non-wrestling heels like say, Vince McMahon or Shane McMahon actually wrestled from time to time, and basically killed themselves when they did.

Vickie's heat was -unbelievable-, especially considering we're in an age when many find the product to be stale. Sure there have been better heels, but that shouldn't take anything away from her. People paid money to see her get her comeuppance, and she only added to Edge's amazing heel character. I'll miss her. Although part of me does find it disturbing that her appearance was a HUGE part of her heat, and she's really just a normal-looking, middle aged woman.

No, it just shows that those wrestlers going out there aren't as good at generating heat as Vickie.
TBH I think a lot of the heat she got originally was "X-Pac Heat" because she was truly awful on the mic. But over time and through her relationship with Edge I think the character evolved to embrace that heat and she ended up getting legitimate "Heel Heat".

X-Pac heat is the kind where fans may boo him live, but at home they change the channel or don't buy merch or whatever. X-Pac heat means that the fans lose interest. Good heel heat means the fan watches in order to see the heel get beat up, or the smark mark like me watches because I appreciate how masterfully said heel pisses off the crowd.
And why the bad feelings for her? She's by all accounts a nice woman who tragically lost a husband far too early. WWE gave her some TV time, and she materialized into this red-hot heel. Now she's going home to take care of her kids after having made good money. Nothing wrong with that.

Yeah the whole way she left is fucked up. the way she looks was not pivotal to her character and really didn't matter. I know WWE isn't exactly a moral holy ground, but holy shit... is it really necesarry to just be that plain mean to an employee? She doesn't even look that bad... she's jsut a regular woman in her late 30s early 40s. She's a fucking mom for christ's sake.
That being said, I still could not stand her character. I didn't mind the whole "excuse me" schtick... but it was more, all her lines seemed rehearsed. It's not as much of a complaint about her skill as it is about the wwe as a whole. They complain about the internet community ruining the magic, but they themselves don't try to add any sort of legitimacy too the product. They go out of their way to make it seem fake.

And you know what? A lot of people I've spoken to also channged the channel, when she was on, or would mute the TV, and go do something else, or just turn it off. Seriously, she almost caused this wrestling fan to turn off Raw for another few years, but I kept trying to enjoy the product, and I'm glad I did, and the wrestling gods have answered my prayer, and now she is gone, and I hope she will stay gone. She had no talent at all. I'm sorry for what happened to her husband, but that doesn't mean she has to kill us with her looks and face every week.....
