Goldeneye is amazing, but it's best enjoyed in multiplayer. It also has been trumped within it's genre.
Perfect Dark was better, and eventually Halo took the cultural place of Goldeneye in dorm rooms around the country.

Looking back on Goldeneye, it was a boatload of fun, and one of the best games ever. Still, OOT still stands the test of time. Nothing of it's kind has really topped it, and although the graphics are old, the game doesn't feel dated. It still plays well, whereas Goldeneye seems shaky, laggy, and clunky.
