Windows installed some fucking retarded update by itself which now makes my computer go into hibernate when it's idle for however long. I'll come back and have to hit the power putton, cause moving the mouse or whatever doesn't work, then it loads up everything again. WHY would anybody want this. Anyway, it was fine before, but I don't even think I set it to do that, it's just what it always did, anyway, how do I change it back

Right click a blank place on your desktop --> Properties --> Screen Saver tab --> Power button --> And in the Power Schemes tab you can change "System Standby" and "System Hibernate" to "Never."

Did they change how the computer hibernates? Because I used to put it on there, and then my tower's power light would blink and my screen would be off. then it would just pop back up whenever i hit a key or such. but now if i put it on hibernate it seems everything shuts off, and it takes longer to load up since it has to power on again.
whats up with that?

All this can be done via power options in control panel.

There aren't any options to change HOW it hibernates. Which is what I was asking about. please go away

Wehttam, I think the function you're talking about is SLEEP.
