I love this game and am mad addicted. Haven't been this addicted to a game in a while. Anyone else get this?

I loved the original sims game, but sims 2 was too much for my pc so didn't get it at the time.

i had both the first two. they're good for a while til you realize you're playing a game with no goal and that your time could be way better spend doing just about anything else at all.

What is new with Sims 3 that makes it all the more awesome? Haven't really heard much about it. Thank you.

Sims 3 is really fun, but it feels lacking. Sims 2 and all of its expansions gave such a ridiculous amount of stuff to do that Sims 3 just feels like a shell of that game. I realize they will make expansions for Sims 3 as well, but I would have thought by the 3rd generation in the series they would have updated the MAIN game a little with some of the features that made 2 so good.

I agree with Req, I feel that it is pretty lacking. I don't know if it is because I have grown so used to playing 2 that I don't want to play 3 or what. When I switched from 1 to 2, it was awesome. From 2 to 3 just feels like there is a lot missing.
Maybe after some hacked items and mods come out I will be more willing to play it.

I want the Sims 3 but my pc can't even run Sims 2. I was discussing it on YouTube and suggested they could bring it to the 360 because it has enough power for the real game and not a warped bare bones version like the GC and Ps2 got with Sims 2. It's amazing how PC gamers seem to get angry and hate the idea of a PC game going to a console but they can't stop begging for console games on the pc (Such as Fable II).

I played the original leaked one for like 2 weeks SOLID (basically right until it actually launched, lol) and it was stupid fun, but I'm already bored of it. I like its appeal though, I just ran out of stuff to do, really.

Yeah, when I created a neighbourhood and finished a great big social park thing for the neighbourhood, I sat back proud and then it hit me what a colossal waste of time it was. Haven't played it since.

Sims 3 is coming to the 360/PS3/Wii/DS this Autumn/Fall.
When Life-simulator The Sims 3 makes the leap from computer to home and portable consoles this fall it will include at least one feature only available to the original purchaser of the game.
The Sims 3 hit the PC and Mac last summer, going on to become the biggest PC launch in EA's history. The title is currently in development for the DS, Playstation 3, Wii and Xbox 360.
The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will, among other things, allow gamers to share achievements with friends through Facebook. Though that service will require a "single-use serial code" that comes with new, full retail purchases of the game.
The Wii version will include a head-to-head Life Moments game and several adventure quests. While the DS version will let gamers draw walls and floors with their stylus as well as "sculpt" their Sims' facial features.

I'm really hoping we get a flawless port for the 360/PS3. Those consoles can definitely handle the "real" Sims 3. No need for those bare bones rip offs we used to get on the PS2 and GC.
