So I'm watching Hammertime on A&E. On tonight's episode, MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice hold a reunion concert in Utah. :wtf: They talk about how they took over the world twenty years ago. Which got me thinking. Which song is/was bigger? "Ice Ice Baby" or "U Can't Touch This".

vanilla ice. not even close. was mc hammer in a tmnt movie? i think not. plus, "havin' a roni" is one of the most amazing songs of all time.

I give the overall lyric quality to Ice, but music video edge to Hammer.

U Can't Touch This used Superfreak and all was fine. Vanilla Ice did the same thing and got sued. For some reason, the whole getting sued by Queen kind of belittles Ice Ice Baby for me. But even if that didn't happen, Rob Van Winkle would still not be able to touch this.

ice ice baby was the bigger song out of the two...but hammer wasnt a one hit wonder...which made him bigger in the long run...btw does anyone remember hammer's cartoon show?

All Ice had to do was admit that he "borrowed" the riff. He couldn't even do THAT! He tried to claim it was different because of one note, and gave no credit where it was due.
