No way in hell I can remember what happened when.

But, in no specific order:

Kurt Angle
That year where he was on Smackdown, feuding with Brock. Team Angle and all that.

Bret Hart
The whole Hart Foundation vs. USA thing

HBK
The year he came back.

Chris Jericho
That year in WCW. Either that or last year.

Christian
That year where he feuded with Jericho. Either that or the year he was NWA Champion as a heel.

And of course, it goes without saying, Steve Blackman: Every year.

Most of my favorite wrestlers didn't have great years. There are great matches here and there but not really solid entire years. I've opted to list my top five wrestlers who had solid whole years. This, in no way, represents my top five wrestlers, however. Also, I defined great year as a year where they had their best opponents, best matches and years I just love to go back and watch stuff from.

Shawn Michaels - 1996 or 2005
Steve Austin - WrestleMania XIV to XV
The Rock - WrestleMania X8 to XIX
Kurt Angle - WrestleMania XIX to XX
Goldberg - December 1997 to December 1998

Brian Pillman
1993
Pillman was always my favorite wrestler and I liked him back when he was a small guy that showed guts going against all odds and wrestling bigger men all the way through being "The Loose Cannon" but my absolute favorite time was when he was a member of "The Hollywood Blondes."

Top 3 Brian Pillman Matches of 1993:
1. w/ Steve Austin v. Dos Hombres (Cage Match for the NWA/WCW Unified Tag Team Championship, WCW Slamboree 1993)
2. w/ Steve Austin v. Arn Anderson & Paul Roma (for the NWA/WCW Unified Tag Team Championship, WCW Beach Blast 1993)
3. w/ Steve Austin v. Arn Anderson & Ric Flair (for the NWA/WCW Unified Tag Team Championship, WCW Clash of the Champions #23)

Chris Jericho
1998
Since 1998 Chris Jericho has become Y2J, a "Rock Star," the man to hold the WWF/E Intercontinental Championship more than anyone, and of course the first ever WWF Undisputed Champion, but when he became my favorite wrestler was when he was the master of the loop hole and going to the library of congress to get decisions over turned and from that point he was my favorite wrestler in the buisness having just lost my previous favorite wrestler, Brian Pillman, the year before. Also you have to love Jericho 3, Greenberg 0... or was that in '99?

Top 3 Chris Jericho Matches of 1998:
1. v. Dean Malenko (for the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship, WCW Uncensored 1998)
2. v. Dean Malenko (for the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship, WCW Great American Bash 1998)
3. v. Juventud Guerrera (WCW World Crusierweight Championship v. Mask, WCW Super Brawl VIII)

Christopher Daniels
2005
Back in 2004 I picked up ROH The Era of Honor Begins and when I watched it I became an instant fan of the Fallen Angel. Little did I know that a mere year later he would have one of the best years worth of matches I've ever seen anyone have. 2005 had some steller matches and here are only 3 (1 of which is my favorite match of all time of those but I assure their were many more...

Top 3 Christopher Daniels Matches of 2005:
1. v. AJ Styles (30 Minute Iron Man Match for the TNA X-Division Championship, TNA Against All Odds 2005)
2. v. CM Punk (for the ROH World Championship, ROH The Homecoming)
3. v. AJ Styles v. Samoa Joe (Triple Threat Match for the TNA X-Division Championship, TNA Unbreakable 2005)

Mick Foley
1999
Mick Foley was the "heel" that I ever rooted for back when he was Cactus Jack, but it was the character he played in 1999 was my absolute favorite. From Foley winning to 3 World Championships feuding with The Rock, to him creating the Rock 'n' Sock Connection 1999 was what seprated Foley is Good from Foley is God.

Top 3 Mick Foley Matches of 1999:
1. v. The Rock (Last Man Standing Match for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship, WWF In Your House 27: St. Valentines Day Massacare)
2. v. The Rock (I Quit Match for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship, WWF Royal Rumble 1999)
3. v. The Big Show v. The British Bulldog v. Kane v. The Rock v. Triple H (Six Pack Challenge for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship, WWF Unforgiven 1999)

Sting
1992
Sting has always been a favorite of mine. When all my friend were talking about Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior I was talking about Sting. I always said that Sting was far better than those two even back when I still believed wrestling was real. I was right back then he was better than Hogan and Warrior. I think the year that epitomized Sting was 1992 from him winning the World Title against Luger until he started my favorite feud of his (no disrespect to The Nature Boy), Big Van Vader.

Top 3 Sting Matches of 1992:
1. v. Big Van Vader (King of Cable Tournament Final, WCW Starracde 1992)
2. Stingers Squaderon v. The Dangerous Alliance (War Games, WCW WrestleWar 1992)
3. v. Lex Luger (for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, WCW SuperBrawl II)

Triple H (2000)
Shawn Michaels (2005)
Chris Jericho (2008)
Edge (2006)

Those aren't necessarily their best years, but those are my personal favorite years.
