Was reading a wiki article about them and it states the following:
They started off as a group from Greenwich, Connecticut of about ten people in early 1999, but then as the year went on the stable whittled its way down to three members, Pete Gas, Rodney, and Joey Abs
I can't ever remember it having about 10 people, the only ones i can remember were abs, gas and rodney. Anyone else remember it having around 10 members or is this just an error on wiki?
That's an error. There may have been a vignette where they were in some type of frat or some shit but it was always the three.

Yeh, there weren't 10 original members. There were a maybe half a dozen of actors in a vignette about Shane McMahon's upbringing and supposedly tough background, despite originating from Greenwich. It might have been during his feud with X-Pac.
Later, the Posse debuted as a stable of actual wrestlers and Joey Abs, perhaps the strongest and most reliable of the trio, joined later on.

They added Joey Abs to the Mean Street Posse because he actually was a wrestler. I guess so that they had someone who could actually take some bumps and work some matches.

Yeah, it was always Rodney, Pete Gas and Joey Abs.
In the skits / promos leading up to them debuting, the only other person they identified by name was a character called Willie Green. I don't know who played him or remember if he actually showed up on any shows / matches, but I vividly remember him being one of the guys talking in the shadows / silhouettes for Shane and the MSP - and being actually the lead vocal guy in some of the promos.
Always thought it weird that he seemed like he'd be the leader but it never played out.

On a side note, I have met and spoken with all 3 primary members of the MSP.
They were cool.

I never asked about the Willie Green thing though. Should have :(
There were like ten members who jumped xpac at some ppv then later it was just pete gas and rodney and joey abs joined later.
