I loved this guy, RIP.

Am waiting for details now, the main suspect at the moment is his wife.

Reports now are the wife was arrested and she can't explain why she was in the same room as Gatti for 10 hours and didn't notice he was dead. Apparently he was strangled with the strap of a purse too. The kid was with her sister at the time too.

So what retired athlete will be #3 in the "Athlete killed by gf/wife in their sleep" trifecta?

I hope it's O.J. but where he is at at the moment, he is the gf probably.

Reports today say the wife of Gatti is going to be released from jail because they say Gatti hung himself and the official death is a suicide.

This is absolute bollocks. Fucking corrupt Brazilians.

Never bought it as murder anyways, had problems envisioning a 100lbs woman strangling a former boxing world champion with a purse strap

You're kidding me right?

Do you think Chris Benoit was murdered then?

Rob, I fail to see the logic in that question?

yeah in a straight up fight..obviously no chance in the world. the early reports said he was passed out drunk and a wound to the back of his head. i think the mythbusters would call that "plausible".

now the story is he hung himself from the staircase railing and was found on the floor. the wounds to the back of his head were cause by locals throwing rocks at him asfter he pushed his wife down during a public fight.

they just completed the second autopsy in quebec but the results havent been made public yet.

im not buying suicide either...bollocks to that

Rob, I fail to see the logic in that question?

100lbs women can't strangle a boxer right.

So how does a man like Chris Benoit who regulary lifts far more than 200lbs die with that weight around his neck? Logic tells you that any person who is being choked will instinctively attempt to free themself.

In short, women who weigh 100lbs are very capable of choking people to death.

Another autopsy done in Quebec has refused to rule out homicide and says the Brazilian one was totally incomplete.

Hanging is more about breaking (or however you call it) neck, not choking.

That being said, I don't buy it as a suicide and want the bitch to suffer.
