Are you wanting to include guys who jump up or down as well. Like with Anderson and Hendo jumping up sometimes.

Loose Cannon
07-12-2009, 11:42 PM
yea, that's what I was saying in the post. I will just need help to keep track of all the jumping around. if someone jumps, just try and post it in here

HeartBreakMan2k

Alright well Anderson's next fight is in the light heavyweight division then. Him vs Forest. He's the only real fighter who's jumping divisions with what seems to be the intent of working both.

wait, so you can be the champ of one division and still fight in another division? I actually did not know that. I guess I will add him into the Light Heavyweight Division as well

I dont want to be mean but seriously?

Yeah, Dan Henderson was the Light Heavyweight and Middleweight champion of Pride coming into the UFC.

Loose Cannon
07-13-2009, 12:01 AM
yea, really didn't know that or just never thought about it. you're not being mean. this is what this thread is for really.

Anyway, I also added the upcoming PPV to the post. This should help people know what's going on for those here that want to get into UFC more

BJ Penn and GSP fought recently over the Welterweight Championship whilst Penn was the Lightweight Champion.

This actually reminded me that I was thinking of doing a tpww MMA rankings every month (or so, depending on how many events happen in between)...dunno, would anyone actually be interested?

Oh yeah! Wanderlei is moving down a weight class.

MMA rankings should be quartlerly really.

That list misses out UFC fighters, but includes non-UFC fighters.

Why are you even making lists like this when you don't even understand what you are talking about yourself?

Wait, so you can pretend that you watch MMA and then prove that you blaitantly don't?

I'm thinking of doing it (it of course being rankings) every 5 or so PPV's (Major ones mainly, so Strikeforce, Affliction, UFC, DREAM, WVR)...Just depends on the timeframe between shows.

And yeah he did, but give him a break, from what I gather he is pretty new to this...this is actually the kind of thread that could be helpful to the guys new to MMA (along with a tpww rankings thread).

Also I will most likely get a few guys from in here to give there opinions on the rankings (i.e Rob, Reav, Krispy, Fab, and possibly RP and Dale)

Is this just UFC (as the title says) or all of MMA?

Don't get me wrong, LC and everybody... I appreciate the sentiment. It is a good idea, but it was just very much worth commissioning someone in the know to do this, or doing 10 minutes of google groundwork.

Well, lets not get all negative about it and help the poor bastard with our knowledge..

I jest, of course.

Wait, so you can pretend that you watch MMA and then prove that you blaitantly don't?

First, calm down. I get it. I am not a "true" fan of MMA

Yea, I don't watch all MMA and never pretended I did. I Watch UFC. I watch the PPV's when they come on and TUF, but DO NOT follow it day in and day out. I would like to start following it a lot more and this thread will help some.

That is why I have attempted to create an organized thread where people can come in real quick and just get your basic information. Yes, I understand we have this thing called google on the internet right now, but it's easier to click a thread to get this info then to do a couple searches if you come to TPWW a lot.

I've asked a couple times when this forum was first started if we could make a thread like this and it never happened, so I decided to at least start something. I have always wanted to see a basic Information thread that is updated monthly. I do now realize that I screwed up the list as they are all MMA and not just UFC, which is what I did want

So please, instead of giving me shit, take my shit and help out. If you would like to make another thread, please do and then I can sticky it.

And yea Impact, if you want to do a rankings list, please do. That would be great. Thanks to everybody in this thread that has offered to help in any way

Loose Cannon
07-19-2009, 09:27 PM
alright, I edited what I had down as the figthers for UFC and it should be right now or close. I went to UFC.com and just used their info with the W/L info as well. I don't know how current all those fighters are as Evan Tanner was on thier Middleweight list I saw.

like I said, if anyone wants to add or change anything, go for it.
