When he closes his mouth, it looks like he has to really concentrate to make his lips touch each other. Like, if he relaxed, his teeth would be clenched, but his lips would just bounce open.
Man appears to have an awkward face, is what I'm saying.

I've noticed that he never blinks or has any expression on his face when he's not wrestling.

Does "wrestling" include mic time?
He's a negative stereotype for people with lisps.

Don't get me wrong, I have no anti-Swagger in me. It just looks like extra effort to close his lips, is all.
Just yankin your chain, AL

I have noticed that Swagger does rarely blink. It is kind of creepy, in a cool way.

Jack Swagger should be the next United States Champion. He can start calling himself The United States Champion Champion.

Swagger is a guy that I just want to skip forward into the future and see. He's not really ready to be a headliner yet, but you just know he's going to be great. He could even be, dare I say it, comparable to Kurt Angle by the end.

Angle was solid entertainment. Besides that why would he waste his career just to be somewhere near Angle ?! Whereas he can build his own legacy and become the 1st Jack Swagger.

Err, I really don't see the need for the comparison between angle and swagger, Noid, you do say some stupid things sometimes.

So you're saying that Swagger can not be solid entertainment? Angle is one of the greatest to ever step foot in a WWE ring. Why wouldn't someone want a career that compares to Kurt Angle's? And of course the dude is going to be the first Jack Swagger -- I never said that he would or should become a Kurt Angle clone.
Given their backgrounds, and how much talent each has, and how quickly both rised in the WWE ranks, I don't see why it is such a curse to compare the two. I'm not expecting Jack Swagger to physically morph or start drinking milk any day.

AL, I can't help but notice you're probably the biggest niggler on TPWW right now.
Can a "Does the mole on John Morrison's back ruin him for anyone else?" post be too far away?

I dunno what a niggler is, by definition, but it seems as if you're calling me "finicky". :shifty:
I had to make the post about the chair shot censoring, because I"d had enough at that point, and then I just started to vent. And no...nothing could ruin John Morrison.

Ah! Well, though I have tried my hand at the art of juggling, I have never been one to take the liberty of throwing any particular heritage in a circular fashion.

Swagger would have been epic in AWA. He had that amateur style that Verne Gagne liked, with enough charisma to get over with the fans.

I totally get where Noid is coming from.
He's got great amateur credentials, he believes he's better than everyone. Much like angle
Compared to when Angle debuted it is indeed different though, as Angle did have alot more energy and charisma
I love how Jack using his music to incorporate his entrance, speaking the words 'on your knees' not enough guys do that.
Jack Swagger has bags of potential, I don't think I've seen him have a bad match yet, I just don't see how a guy with a lisp could be anything but a heel though, without becoming a dumb-shit gimmick.

Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes did pretty good for themselves.

I'm glad someone could see the comparison I was drawing. I think Swagger could eventually become a face when he is a lot more established. I'm thinking of how Mark Henry has become a face by simply turning his heel character on the bad guys. In fact, those kind of turns tend to do really well. Batista had something similar going for him.
Swagger can turn face by just getting into a program with a heel that is more hated than he is, in which Swagger totally schools him. I do think that Jack's biggest successes will come as a heel, though. Well, his more natural successes, anyway.

I really don't like Swagger at the moment.
Nothing massively wrong with the guy, he's just awkward and weird for me to watch.
Maybe in time I'll like him, but at the moment I can only see him being the guy who brought back X-Pac heat.
Mr. Nerfect

What is so X-Pac about Swagger's heat?
Right now, I am picturing how awesome Swagger could be on Friday Night SmackDown!, under the booking hand of Michael Hayes. It is giving me a semi-erection.

I'm actually thinking that Jack Swagger has got a good chance of being revealed as Chris Jericho's new partner at Night of Champions. For some reason, I can also see Jericho & Swagger striking a new alliance with Randy Orton, which leaves Legacy in the dark (or at least Ted DiBiase), so that Teddy can turn face and get a push in time for The Marine 2.

But then who would that leave to face Kofi (United States Champion)? I mean obviously there won't be 2 triple threat matches on a card where every title is on the line, but Bourne just doesn't seem anywhere near ready for a U.S. title run, plus the whole face-vs.-face thing wouldn't work out in all likelihood...Knowing the crappy booking, they'll probably have Big Show face Kofi, but I sure as hell hope not...his run with it in 2003-2004 was a joke. Hopefully Swagger is freed up to chase, but not win the U.S. belt, and, unfortunately, I have a feeling they are going to toss Dolph into the tag team mix for Sunday. (:n: idea)
