Just finished the episode where Michael gets Chris and Snoop to kill his and Bug's father. The few episodes that the father was in, you never knew for sure why Michael hated him so much. And they explained it all with one scene. That scene is when Chris and Snoop lead him down the ally and instead of killing him and storing the body, Chris pistol whips him to death and leave him there. The emotion on Chris explained everything without any words period. That last 10 minutes was amazing. This is why this show is so amazing. The best show i've ever seen. So many scenes like this one that make this show great. Cannot wait to finish the season.

Yeah totally, makes you realise (at least partly) why Chris is so cold too IMO.

You really first know for SURE when he's asking Chris and Snoop to do it and they ask why, the look between Michael and Chris says it all, before that it's slightly ambiguous and you don't know if it was just a bit of a beating here and there or something.

yes, awesome season. Like I said in that other thread, the Stanfield/Barkesdale war was tremendous. And then you add in the backdrop of the school kids and how each of them progress and it's just so true to reality. You're almost at my favorite part in the season

And Slim Charles is terribly underused. Ever since his rant in season 3 to Avon about having to fight the war no matter what, i've been wanting to see more of Slim Charles.

He is still underused even in season 5. Mad good character.

I feel like everyone's favorite character is Michael for some reason. Had a real good story but kinda boring character.

Bodie and Carver are two of my favourite characters tbh, I love the parallel between them on opposite sides of the law and the way they both mature as the seasons progress.

Slim got used a lot in 5 from what I remember. Maybe just a lot more then his previous seasons. yea, Boadie is my personal favorite.

Do not read this until after you watch season 4 RP. His death scene is my fav scene of the show and I wish it was Carver and not Mcnulty he was working with at the end. But I loved how they made Boadie stand his ground against Snoop and Chris when you see a lot of the other characters killed by them earlier in the show just cower and let it happen. They were true to Boadie's character at his end

yah i agree. Kinda stunned the turn Michael made at the end of the season too. I cant believe they killed Boadie. Love that guy so much.

yea I know. It kind of pisses me off that Poot never saw O-DOGG (the guy who shot him) come out of that house cause he came out just as Poot ran by. he could of warned him

and it also pissed me off that Boadie never even hit Chris and Snoop one time.

Bodie dying was crazy to me because Ry gave me a "false spoiler". He was like "Bodie is in like every season" so I was expecting "some shit to go down" where he survived til season 5. So when he died it was like OH SHIT

actually it's funny you say that because when I first started watching the WIRE, I went to Wiki and read up on every character just so I could follow the show better. And I swear I never read Boadie (Deasesed) on there, so it also came as a shock when he was offed.

Deaths on The Wire tend to be quick and cold, even for main characters (i.e. D'Angelo, Stringer), so Bodie's was surprisingly cinematic I thought, probably as much as Wallace's.

I thought Michael was the one who came out and killed Boadie.

nah, that's a common mistake as I thought that too. It's a minor character named O-DOGG. You'll see more of him in season 5.

If you remember earlier in that episode, Chris said he didn't think Michael should do it when he was talking to Marlo
