Just announced in a press release today is the name of the man who will follow Shaq as the guest host of RAW. It's none other than Emmy-Award winning actor and star of HBO's Entourage, Jeremy Piven.
Yes, on August 3rd, from Connecticut, Ari Gold will lend his considerable talents to the RAW brand. Piven will no doubt be working to promote Entourage and his upcoming film The Goods: The Don Ready Story.

Although we must remember that this will be a TV-PG version of Mr. Piven, so let's not get too elated.

The writers, no matter how hard they try, can not churn out a show that is better than "groan-enducingly bad". So ideally, this brings in ratings and a little cheap entertainment.
As opposed to just taking hints from Smackdown! or something.
I've been bored as fuck with Raw for too long though with no hope of the writing improving so I say bring on the guest hosts. Seth Green was fun to watch.

Shaq then Ari Gold. Fucking awesome.
Yeah, ZZ Top was shit. But all of the other guest hosts have been quite entertaining. Can't wait for the inevitable Big Show/ Shaq confrontation.

Major Actor To Co-Host RAW Next Week w/ Shaq, SD!, More
By Ryan Clark on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009 at 12:30 PM EST
WWE issued a press release today to announce that Emmy Award-winning actor and Entourage star Jeremy Piven will co-host next Monday’s episode of Raw alongside Shaquille O’Neal.
From WWE.com
As his character Ari Gold on the hit HBO series Entourage might proclaim, “Jeremy Piven will be the celebrity guest host on Monday Night Raw in two weeks? That is freaking huge!”
While Piven’s fiery character would likely add a little more spice to his speech, we’re pretty sure you get the idea. WWE is excited to have the multiple Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor take control of Raw just one week after NBA great Shaquille O’Neal serves as host in Washington D.C.
this the 4th thread about Jeremy Piven
