They had to make the drums sound real good for Death Magnetic because of how badly they were mixed on St Anger. I have heard some tinny snares in my time, but wow, was that an awful album.

Production on St Anger is waaaaaay better than DM. Although, I have got the GH version, so it's better than the CD copy, but still not mixed with as much lively sound as SA.
