Ring of Honor sent out the following announcement today, stating that effective Monday, August 17th, the ‘Ring of Honor on HDNet’ will now air each and every Monday night at 8pm EST! Here is the full announcement:

For years now in the United States, Monday night has been considered THE night for professional wrestling, and Ring of Honor is now poised to continue that tradition. Together, ROH and HDNet are very happy to announce that effective Monday, August 17th, the acclaimed ‘Ring of Honor on HDNet’ will now air each and every Monday night at 8pm EST!

With this transition to a prime time slot, ROH is now in a position to kick off your Monday night wrestling viewing with a humongous bang, as we bring you what we believe is pound-for-pound the BEST wrestling program on television today. This move places ROH on HDNet in a position to gain more viewership, particularly among fans that are already accustomed to watching on that night. And for those fans that are unable to view the program at 8pm EST, HDNet is going to replay all of the action again at 11pm EST!

This is no more a war than between man and maggot, or Dragons and wolves....

Or men riding Dragons throwing wolves at maggots.

Might start watching then. Easier to just turn on my tv an hour earlier then it is to watch another day.

ROH is only an hour long, right?

I've heard that financially they are in trouble. Don't know about the Ratings for the HDNet shows.

They aren't as amazing as they were from lik 03-07 but they are still freaking great. The show keeps getting better and better. They actually have angles now lol. aries is Champ, kenta is around, Danielson is still amazing, Bret hart is promoting them

If Russo leaves TNA with Jarret or if pritchard goes to TNA, WWE might have to watch out because an alliance between TNA and ROH against the WWE would at least bring in some ratings if not take away a little from WWE.

I watched UFC 100 and could barely watch NOC it was such a downgrade. ROH is Hybrid style so it is a mix of MMA and traditional pro wrestling.

I'd imagine if they could hook up with TNA and make a cutting edge style mixing the hybrid and sports entertainment styles like 21cw did and get some more tv time, I believe that it could become very popular.
