Featherweight Grand Prix reserve bout

Jung Chan Sung vs. Matt Jaggers
Sung defeated Jaggers via submission (triangle choke) at 1:25 of round 2.


Featherweight Grand Prix Semi-Finals

Marlon Sandro vs. Michihiro Omigawa
Omigawa defeated Sandro via "must decide" judges decision (Omigawa, Omigawa, Sandro) after initially scoring it a majority draw (30-30, 30-30, 30-29 Sandro).

Hatsu Hioki vs Masanori Kanehara
Hioki defeated Kanehara via unanimous decision.


Featherweight Grand Prix Final

Michihiro Omigawa vs. Masanori Kanehara
Kanehara defeated Omigawa via split decision. Hioki was unable to continue due to a concussion and was replaced by Kanehara.


Non-Grand Prix bouts
Heavyweight bout: Yoshihiro Nakao vs. Choi Mu Bae
Nakao defeated Choi via unanimous decision.

Lightweight bout: Eiji Mitsuoka vs. Clay French
Mitsuoka defeated French via submission (guillotine choke) at 1:51 of round 1.


Welterweight bout: Akihiro Gono vs. Dan Hornbuckle
Hornbuckle defeated Gono via KO (Head Kick) at 2:50 of round 3.

Heavyweight bout: Kazuyuki Fujita vs. Blagoi Ivanov
Ivanov defeated Fujita via split decision.

Middleweight bout: Kazuhiro Nakamura vs. Kazuo Misaki
Misaki defeated Nakamura via Technical Submission (guillotine choke) in round 1.

Lightweight Championship bout: Satoru Kitaoka (c) vs. Mizuto Hirota
Hirota defeated Kitaoka via TKO (Knees) at 2:50 of round 4 to become new Lightweight Champion.


Sengoku Gold Cup finals
Lightweight final: Koji Ando vs. Ikuo Usuda
Usuda defeats Ando by unanimous decision.

Bantamweight final: Ryosuke Komori vs. Takeshi Numajiri
Komori defeats Numajiri by TKO at 3:25 of round 1.

Featherweight final: Toru Hari vs. Shigeki Osawa
Osawa defeats Hari by TKO at 4:24 of round 1.

Hioki is in hospital after suffering a concussion, so he was replaced by Kanehara in the finals...rather upsetting really, Hioki is solid.

Also Gono was taken to hospital after getting knocked out and seems to have a concussion as well as a possible neck problem :( poor Gono

Otherwise though it sounds like a rather solid show all in all.

Also, for the record, Sengoku ran what could have probably been the most bullshit anti-korea show ever with this show from the judging. They def wanted a Jap to be champion and did alot to ensure that happened whenever they had an opportunity with the judging... just saying.
