View Full Version : Could Big Show/Jericho be the new Lesnar/Heyman?

I was watching Raw, and listening to Jericho put over The Big Show during his match with Kofi was amazing. Honestly, if Jericho becomes his mouth piece, I could see Show getting a long, dominant run as world champion. I really think Jericho could be the Paul Heyman to Big Show's Brock Lesnar. Thoughts?

Or Jericho could be the Heyman to Big Show's Big Show.

WTF

Allow me to explain, my simple minded friend.

Brock Lesnar was a beast, but had no mic skills. Yeah, he was a mega talented hoss, but when he came in, Paul Heyman was really essential in getting him over as a beast.

The Big Show is a beast as well, but he's been booked horribly over the years. This is mainly because he's only been a "threat" when WWE has needed someone to fill in as a main event antagonist. What I'm saying is they could use Jericho to really build up Big Show as a legit threat, sort of like Paul Heyman did for Brock when Brock first arrived.

Basically, Jericho could help Show get over as a credible threat more than Big Show has been able to before.

Anyone who thinks Show could get a long run as world champion is crazy. Unless we're talking ECW champion.

Brock Lesnar could atleast move and was mobile to say the least, Show can barely get into the ring.

Show doesn't get a big push because he's lazy and fat and lacks ambition, it's what's plagued him his whole career, he was given a title run in 99 or 2000 and it proved to be a mistake.

But I cannot and will not argue the fact that Chris Jericho is indeed great.

Big Show was awesome when he was feuding with Lesnar... which hey... what do you know... Heyman was managing Show at the time.

I'd rather see Chris Jericho get a long dominant run as champion. But, I do like that Jericho is doing good things for Show. I genuinely like Big Show -- when he has a place, he really has a place. It's just that he's often stagnating somewhere and just spinning his wheels a lot of the time.

I'm looking forward to a potential Big Show face turn after Jericho and Show lose the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship. A feud between the two where Show tries to get his hands on Jericho despite being on separate brands could be really interesting.

I like the idea. It could lead to a good feud over said World Championship.

I like the idea as long as it means Jericho wouldn't have to be sacrificed.

Sounds pretty good. I hate what they did with The Big Show over the years, I like him.

I hate to remind you, but they also repeated that mistake by having Show beat Brock at Survivor Series 2002 for the WWE Championship. Sure he only held it for a month, until Armageddon, but that was one awful month, IMO.

It's sad that between them, Chris Jericho and Big Show have not held as many World Championships as Triple H has by himself.

That was around the time I stopped watching wrestling, and for good reason.

No, it's just sad he's held the title as many times as he has, and the fact that he's still on top. That's what sad.

Jericho, however is just greatness, and his greatness is such that it makes even Big Show look good, just by standing next to him.

Someone could slip on Chris Jericho's urine and it'd be a three-star match.

I do like the promo work they've been doing the past week or so. I didn't bother looking up what happened on Raw, but I did like their promo on last week's Smackdown after Cryme Tyme won the #1 contendership match. Jericho driving home the point that they've won over 40 titles combined in their careers and Big Show adopting Jericho's "I'm better than all of you" spiel worked pretty well (I liked the "I'm bigger than all of you, and that means I'm better than all of you" line Show threw out there). And the Big Show/Jericho theme mash-up is pretty cool.

But Jericho acting as Show's mouthpiece for a solo run to the top? I can't see it happening. Jericho's character is too egotistical and self-serving to help someone get to the top without some kind of personal motive.
