View Full Version : So when do you think Kurt Angle will leave TNA?

Just thought I'd make a hypothetical discussion on when, if ever, Kurt Angle will leave TNA. Given all the shit that's going down in TNA, and the occasional rumour that Angle is not too happy there, and is thinking about returning to the WWE -- do you think that day may be imminent?

I think I'm one of the only people who don't think he'll leave TNA until he achieves what he set out to do. I genuinely think he still wants to carry TNA up to compete with WWE, which would obviously be great for the wrestling industry.

But does that even seem feasible?

He has already frontlined WWE with a better roster. He has no reason to leave TNA right now IMO.

Like all things, never say never. I see him as a TNA guy now, I don't think he's going to get back to WWE anytime soon. Especially if he gets head booker if/when Jarrett gets the boot.

I just want Angle to do what Angle does best... be the best wrestler in the business. TNA needs a lot of work for me to care about Angle again.

It'd be pretty huge if he returned to WWE soon. As shitty as WWE can be, Angle always found a way to be entertaining. TNA's shitty booking and storylines makes Angle less watchable at times.

Who will care when he leaves? He isn't that good anymore, his matches are boring and predictable, and the guy is bat shit crazy.

That being said, about 2 years.

I don't think he will re-sign with TNA whenever his contract expires. It seems like he has kept the door open with Vince by not bashing him recently.

But we all know that Vince is one spiteful son of a bitch. Even if Angle does return to the WWE, there's no guarantee that he'll be able to reach the heights he did in his first WWE run. There were a lot of people hopeful of what Christian could do in his return to the company after he proved he could be taken seriously as a top contender for a world title, and it's looking like he'll be bound to ECW at least until the next draft.

Then again, Vince has also never been one to pass up the money of a top draw. With money being tighter than it's been in years and the industry as a whole in a bit of a low period, it's entirely possible Vince puts it behind him for the time being. The question then becomes whether or not Angle would still be a top draw in the WWE, or would a lot of the kids who make up the majority of the WWE audience now remember just how freaking awesome he was 1999-2005ish?

Paul Heyman. Eric Bischoff, Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash.

If you can make Vince money, the past is just that. It is only when you have the financial relevance of someone like Christian that Vince's spite supposidly appears.

The local network news broadcaster can be a better station than Fox News or CNN, but they're still making less bank than the other guys. You want a reason to jump ship to the bigger company? Money.

I think Jarrett's stock will be bought out and angle will remain in TNA.
think about it. Kurt Angle or Jarrett. Of course Angle right?

What'd be funny is if Kurt Angle got all this creative control and stuff, and TNA outsted Jarrett...and then Angle left for the WWE anyway. WOO!
