Can we get some Carlito love going?

I've got to admit, I've been loving Carlito's character recently. Without ever changing his theme song, over time it has subtlely changed quite a bit. He came into the WWE with bright colours and a cocky confidence in his abilities. Five years later he has grown his hair out a little to cover his eyes, and has drained the colour from his ring attire. No longer is he so flamboyant about how good he is, but he almost seems upset that he hasn't achieved main event status. And why wouldn't he? He's only held every single championship outside the main event in the WWE (US, IC, WWE Tag and World Tag).

The guy can be unmotivated at times, reportedly, but he's pretty good in the ring, and is a good character. I hope that he achieves some sort of continued success in his career.

I've been a big fan of Carlito ever since he debuted. Probably because I was going through a big "anti-Cena" phase, and was excited to see someone take away the U.S title.

The dark image of Carlito since tossing his brother aside is the only time I've ever been interested in him. Now is the time to do something impressive.

I've never seen someone switch back and forth from heel to face as freely as Carlito does besides maybe Kane. He's a decent talent. I enjoyed the tag feud with The Colons and The In Crowd. I haven't watched any wrestling since mid-June, so I don't know what he's like now, but I'll check it out soon.

Carlito and Primo was the only thing I've cared about him doing for the last three years maybe. Splitting them up was a decision that was made a bit prematurely. Out of all the guys they don't know what to do with, I'd say he's the most over. I think the first step is changing his theme. I don't hear Carlito's voice talking about spitting in the face of people who don't want to be cool (which he doesn't even really do anymore) and then that island music and get excited for the next match. He needs something that will either draw heat or make the crowd pop.

I used to like Carlito a lot as well. For a while there, he seemed to be on the cusp of being somebody. He was getting a big push as a heel, even making it into an elimination chamber match. He turned face and was getting over...

Then came his plummet. For awhile I wasn't even sure if he was still with the company or not until he started tagging with Primo. Their feud with Miz and Morrison made me remember I used to like Carlito. Then Carlito turned heel again...

And now I find myself quickly not liking him again. He has turned heel... but really, has no character anymore. He's still sporting the "half of a tag team" kind of look, and hasn't done anything to make himself stand out or to really "change" himself.

So in conclusion... not too high on Carlito right now.

I love Carlito! And have really liked him since his debut! I hope one day he'll make it into the main event. The guy's damn good in the ring and can cut a good promo. He's funny and has a great look (although I liked his shorts when he first debuted, and hairy armpits :nono: ).

Glad that some people still like Carlito around here. It doesn't seem like they are new supporters, though. More so people who have supported him since the start. He looks like he might be next in line to face Kofi Kingston over the US Title. Although I don't think Carlito should win the US Title right now, especially from Kingston, I think that a good match might lead to some good things for him, hopefully.

The dude could probably use a change of brand. On SmackDown!, his ring work and character would be allowed to shine, which would be fantastic for him. On ECW, he'd be a big fish in a small pond, however. If the company wants to do anything with Carlito, I can see him becoming ECW Champion there.

I'm still pretty pissed that they didn't air Miz and Morrison vs. The Colons at Wrestlemania.

They should have lost the Lumberjack stipulation and put it on as the opener. It would have kicked ass.

I'd also like to point out just how much more over Primo was when he was teaming with Carlito than when he wasn't. The fans were sort of buying into The Colons being together.

Right now, I'm somehow uninterested in his character. I guess I feel like he should be feuding with Primo exclusively since the turn. It seems like he's just moved onto other things while Primo isn't really doing anything.

A change of brand would do him a whole lot of good, I think.
