If you have digital cable or a satellite, most major providers are making mun2 free for the day.
ESPN doesn't have rights to U.S. qualifiers in Mexico, Telemundo does. So to try to promote their small, English-language channel, mun2, Telemundo is playing the game there.
Who scored? I cba czeching myself, too busy watching another choppy England performance

Just noticed Altidore is on the bench. Interesting

I root for France when they're playing, but I wouldn't against the United States.
Yeah, you were born in California.
My entire family roots for the Mexican team, so it's something I've done my whole life.

The English feed I was watching went down so now I'm watching the Telemundo version. And it is waaaaaaaaaay more exciting.

That's 3 cards for the US back line and like 2 fouls total on Mexico.

"Looks like Ching tried to go through the defender, as opposed to around him"

Intentional or not, there's always a very clear bias when the US is playing in Latin America.

Where is the Telemundo feed?

The main sponsor for futbol on Telemundo is Home Depot :'(
I'm watching this on Mun2 and I hate this channel. All my life I grew up being told not to mix Spanish with English when speaking and these fuckers do it in every single commercial and TV show. Bugs the crap out of me.

I hate ESPN Gamecast. Whoever writes them always comes off like such a smug Eurosnob I can't even stand it. Jen Chang, the editor at Soccernet, is some sort of Oxford grad or something, according to his bio. No wonder.

I lost the Telemundo feed now. I think a lot of the channels shut off during half time.

This is the only competitive game the Mexicans and Yanks have between World Cups.

1 defense lapse and 1 great chance by Mexico ends up hurting the US.
Reffing was really inconsistent the whole match. Not horrible that it makes the match unwatchable but still inconsistent on almost everything.

From Yahoo! News.
MEXICO CITY – The man with the tri-colored mohawk took a swig of beer, stuck his fingers down his throat and vomited the mixture back into his cup. In the next seat another man, who was wearing a T-shirt with a cartoon drawing of the decapitated heads of Barack Obama and Landon Donovan, poured out what remained of the Corona beer he had been chugging and urinated into his cardboard drinks container.
Then, according to a neutral bystander who witnessed these disgusting acts, the pair stood on their seats, high-fived and hurled their vile concoctions in the direction of Donovan, the United States men’s national team star who was preparing to take a corner kick 15 yards away.
Welcome to the Estadio Azteca.
