This might sound stupid...
But, what do you guys think about a one-on-one Elimination Chamber match.
I think it would be pretty cool if you have the right guys in it.
Chris Jericho would be perfect for a "Chamber Match". He could do a lionsault off of the top of the chambers. They could have the "chambers" full of weapons or something. Or that would be one sweet view for the camera guys.
What do y'all think?

A lionsault off the chamber would just be a moonsault....

Wasnt Jericho in the last Chamber match at Summerslam?

I'm confused. Do you mean an elimination chamber with only two people? That would be a hell in the cell my friend. Now if you were refering to an elimination chamber in which the participants were only released once another participant was eliminated, that'd be like a gauntlet chamber. I guess that'd be kinda cool, but no different from the chamber currently is.

I knew i should have explained more.
I MEANT...
A singles match (1 v. 1) in the elimination chamber.
Like Jericho v. Benoit in a Elimination Chamber match. Not 6 men...only 2.
Or they can just have a steel cage match.

only benoit v. jericho could make a cage match mean something nowadays....

They aren't the same. E.C. has a metal floor and glass.

It would be like a Lions' Den match with a metal floor minus the glass
If there was really a 1:1 match in the Elimation Chamber, wouldn't the 4 glass & steel containers be redundant?

this idea is not feasible. End of story.

Dang... i did not know my idea was that insane.
The "glass chambers" would not be redundent if they used them for something (weapons... camera guys for sweet ass views)
And it is quite feasable... i think it would be quite a seller if they booked and hyped it right. Just take out the word "Elimination" and then make it a "Chamber Match".
And every 5 minutes a new chamber opens up and they can get chairs, ladders, blah blah.
The camera idea would be cool just because it would be a unique view of the match.
But it would be unfeasable if they put 2 guys in the match that have about as much chance as making it work as Lex Luth...i mean Kurt Angle does of making himself disappear without the "John Cena Special". ( thanks to the captions guys for coming up with funny stuff.)

It must cost alot of money to make the chamber and whatnot( around $500,000.00 if i am correct, not too sure about that). So why waste it with only 2 superstars? Might as well have the 6 superstars in it. Either way I don't like this idea at all, sorry.

They've had two matches in the chamber, I'm sure they don't just throw it out when they're done with it.
I think the idea is interesting but it'd have to be two guys who can both carry a good match. And there'd have to be a really good fued built up to it.

Its a cool thought, don't trash on him for just sparking a little discussion.
But I think that the elimination chamber serves its purpose as a 6 man elimination battle, and for one on one chamber matches, you have the Hell in a Cell.
They tried 6 men in a hell in a cell and it was kinda stupid, it was at Armageddon in 2000.
I love the elimination chamber matches, I'd like to see it again, but its better when its not too overused, too bad storywise its a Raw trademark, but then again Smackdown would have trouble coming up with 6 good main event compettitors to fill the thing.

Hell In A Cell lost all its meaning when they had a Tag Team Hell In A Cell match on RAW. And kennel from hell did not help. Neither did Bossman v. Taker WM 2000!
The chamber would be perfect for Survivor Series 2004: Battle Of The Brands!
3 RAW v. 3 SmackDown!
HHH/Benoit/Jericho v. Eddie/Booker T./RVD
or a every man for himself World Title/WWE Title unification...

If you change Eddie/Booker/RVD to Eddie/Cena/Angle I'd watch it.

After each 1:30 a chamber opens:
1st: Trash cans and trash can lids
2nd: Tables
3rd: Chairs
4th: Ladders
Put the tile at the top of the cage and you might see a good match.

That would be cool.
Hell in a Cell started as kind of a trademark of the undertaker, or foley. Then HHH started doing a lot. Hell in a cells can still be good, but there have been a few crappy ones.
The good:
Shawn vs. Taker, the original classic
Foley vs. Taker, surpasses the first, classic
Foley vs. HHH, very good, the hinges were kinda stupid though
Brock vs Undertaker, good, better if Taker wasn't the badass.
Jericho vs. HHH, above average, good combo.
The bad:
6 man Hell in a Cell, way too much going on, just wouldn't work, even with 5 huge main eventers.
HHH vs. Kevin Nash, lazy and just not the right match.
The ugly:
Taker vs. Bossman, too forced to be part of a WM, wrong opponent
The kennel from hell, no comment.

Jericho nearly broke his neck (Hayabusa style) at the Rumble, and I haven't seen him do the lionsault since then.

I may be missing some, I'm just recalling the big PPV ones off the top of my head, it was on raw, probably in summer 98 I'm guessing?

I've watched the Royal Rumble a dozen times now (got it in DVD) and I can't see where he almost broke his neck. The lionsault did look pretty botched though. He went to the wrong rope and had to fly nearly three quarters of the way across the ring to land on goldberg.

I liked the 6-man HIAC, I thought it was a solid match.
If you used the chambers for something, like weapons, then it could be alright. They could have two chambers with standard weapons like one with a chair, and another with a table, and then each of the remaining two chambers could have a special weapon based on the guy. HHH would put in a sledgehammer (or a booking sheet), HBK would have a ladder, Cena a steel chain, etc.
But, I think its best to allow the matches to have their own identities. HIAC is one on one, EC is 6 man elimination, War Games is 4 on 4 if they were to ever use that (I would like to see a War Games match at Survivor Series or Mania RAW vs SD).
I wonder if the WWE would ever use the 3 tier cage from Ready to Rumble. I know thats a WCW creation, but they like to have these "first time ever" matches, so that would be one they've never done.

The 6 man hell in a cell wasn't that bad, I should have really said the good the ok and the ugly in retrospect, I just didn't like Rikishi too much, but that whole heel turn and storyline is another story, a bit dissapointing to say the least.

the idea sounds close to crap. just 2 folks in it no matter who they are just would not work... the chambar was designed for 6 people not two... HIAC was designed for two, or maybe three, up to four but mainly 2. Saw the disaster at that Armageddon with 6 in HIAC.

I dont think that would be any good. The fact that there is more than one person in it makes it different from a hell in a cell. With just 2 then there is no point of the other chambers. So basically you would just have a modified version of the hell in a cell. Hell in a cell is fine by me.
