How wise is it to go against one of the biggest PPV's of the year?

El Capitano Gatisto

Mayweather vs Marquez, easy. Seems a bit gay to do something like this.

They'll only be airing a couple of fights on spike...I believe it's only a 1 hour show (commercial free) as well. Efrain V Cole Miller and McFedries V Drwal are the two i've heard about.

So based on the straw poll from TPWW members (which lets face it, is better than actual facts)

Boxing > MMA

On this occasion

Now, what if it were that UFC 100 card show against it, what would you of done then?

It's kinda sad as the 103 card is pretty fucking awesome (imo)

I'd have watched Brock over Mayweather. I don't know if there's any other MMA guys I'd watch over him though

The numbers won't lie. We'll see who pulls in the most ppv buys. Im guessing Mayweather..but the 103 headliner isn't a huge showstopper either.

Mayweather vs. Marquez, easy.

Don't see why there's a need to play the two off each other to be honest.

This is going to really show how everyone feels about boxing now. People think boxing is dead, but I have a feeling that this will be closer in buys then people think.

I won't be watching either because my school doesn't have PPV offers, I would probably watch UFC, but I would be checking what is going on in the Mayweather Marquez fight online or something.

am i right in thinking ufc ppv's are cheaper than boxing ones? could make a difference.

In Australia UFC PPV's cost $40, while boxing can be anywhere from $50 to $90 I believe...

El Capitano Gatisto

I like watching both, don't really see why they're played off against each other. They're two different sports, most other sports manage not to schedule their big events against each other so more people can see them, never mind go out of their way to do so. Dana White is a bit of a cock and this makes UFC seem cheap if it's a deliberate ploy. Boxing isn't in the best of shape these days but it's not going to go away because increasing numbers of people are switching on to a different sport as well.

This, except for the being a fan of boxing bit. I'll watch the occasional match if it's really fast paced or there is some storied rivalry to it, but otherwise not too interested.

Fuck Floyd Mayweather

This too, actually. It's like Good gave him so much talent that there's no room for manners too.
