Former WWE Tag Team Champion Carl Ouellet had a tryout before agents at a recent SmackDown taping. In an interview with James Guttman, he gave a weird story regarding the experience. Ouellet said: “After the show, I asked Mike Rotunda, I said, ‘Should I wait for their phone call or should I wait and thank Vince for the opportunity?’ Mike said, ‘No Carl. You should wait for Vince and thank him, so it’ll be fresh in his memory, you know.’ So I’m just waiting at the end of the Smackdown show. He’s coming out and it’s maybe 12:30 or 1 a.m. And I go, `Vince, I just want to…,’ and he shoved me into the wall like I was a piece of crap. I felt pretty bad. Right after that, I got to my hotel room and called John Laurinaitis.”

Yeah, why would they give Jean-Pierre Lefeite a try out match in 2009?

Must be off the back of that gripping and ingenius Russo-esque 'my god it's turned into a shoot' match with Kevin Nash

Who shoves pieces of crap against a wall? Maybe if vince had given him a flushie, or wiped him with some toilet paper taht statement would make more sense.

I noticed this guy's last name is Carl Ouellet; I wonder if the guy has any relation to Maryse, as that's her last name as well. If there is any relation between the two, well then, he's one lucky son of a bitch.

Just a stab in the dark, but I don't think her name is Maryse Carl Oullet.

And being related to her would hardly be 'lucky' more unlucky if anything, surely?

...wait, he's one lucky son of a bitch because he's related to a hot peice of ass, which would make him out to be a mad pervert if he did anything about it? That's pretty fucked up.

I just about remember Jean Pierre Lafitte character (he had a good match with Bret) but I don't have any recollection of Carl Ouellet or him being a tag team champion. Who was he tag team champions with??

In the WWF, Ouellet was renamed Pierre LaFitte. He and Jacques formed a tag team known as "The Quebecers",[2] and dressed like Mounties. This was a reference to Jacques's previous gimmick, The Mountie, which the Royal Canadian Mounted Police had banned him from using in Canada, fearing that the heelish character of The Mountie would lead to children mistrusting legitimate law enforcers. The Quebecers sang their own entrance theme, in which they announced that, contrary to appearances, "We're not the Mounties". Later in the year they were joined by their manager, Johnny Polo.

In an interview with Slam! Sports on August 6, 2008, Ouellet declared that he would like another stint with the WWE.[4]
