There is no thread for this. Neway I just want to know, SHOULD I WATCH THIS?

Actually, my real question is can I just start watching the new episodes this season? Or will I be completely lost if I don't watch the first two?

You'll need to start with season 1.

Beginning.

I could have sworn I made a thread like 6 months ago, but "lo and behold" it's not there.

Anyway yeah, start from the beginning. I actually don't think it's an "amazing" show. It's good but critics are comparing it to The Sopranos. Not even close.

2nd to last episode in Season 1 was the best.

Theres a lot of other shows you should start to watch before this one actually. Dexter, Breaking Bad, and In Teeatment come to mind.

Have you even started Lost yet?

not a fan of this show. I watched like the first four episodes and it's just way boring and slow. my wife likes it, but more so because it's got a lot of romance in it. After The Sopranos, Curb and The Wire, no other HBO show will stand up.

and no way this is even remotely compared to Sopranos. don't even get that in your head. what the fuck were those people smoking?

I wanna say it's even in thier ads for the show. I could have sworn I saw "quotes" from reviewers saying it was "The best drama since The Sopranos" when they were advertising it.

I love it. You'll have to start from the start, as with any series these days. Not much happens on it, there's no action, just snappy dialogue and nice suits!

Whats it very very briefly about, is it fantastic, how many series so far and how many more expected?

Should I make it my next thing to watch basically?

I was going to do this eventually but I didn't want to confuse Ogen.

I just downloaded the first series after viewing this thread, and cause it keeps winning Emmy's.

I've seen the first episode - I'll watch the rest (also my wife likes it too)

It's a great show in terms of writing and direction especially, but it's really more geared towards an older generation who can connect to it on a more real level than "us twentysomethings"

I watched it, and just could not get into it. Way too pretentious for my tastes. I guess it had moments where it was clever, but it thought it was far more clever than it was, and it unsettled me. There are far better shows to watch. Namely The fucking Wire. Go watch it right now. And then again.

Ok I've watched 3 episodes, does it get good any time soon?

2nd to last episode of the first season, yeah.

And then another long dry patch.

Just finished season three. It was only okay until the last three episodes.

I would really like to see Don Draper hold a conversation with Dexter.

I want to fuck January Jones, does that mean I should watch this show?
