View Full Version : How would I go about making copies of my DVD collection?

After years of blowing stupid amounts of money on a rather ridiculously large collection of DVDs (which requires 3 bookcases to store them all) I have decided that I want to make copies of all the DVDs I own (except my favorites) and put the originals up on ebay, or something, since I only download movies nowadays, being skint and all.

My question then is how would I go about 1) making straight up copies of DVDs and/or 2) ripping DVDs to an .AVI or .MPG file and just burning that to a data disc? (whichever is easiest)

I have the latest version of Nero and one or two other programs, I seem to remember being recommended TMPG Enc and DVD Shrink a few years ago, but I dunno if they are still used nowadays.

Much love for any advice.
