View Full Version : I don't like Carlito.

But I fucking hate Primo.
Now, to be clear, I don't dislike Primo as an individual, I don't think he's a shitbag like Orton or Hogan. But every time he shows up on tv, I roll my eyes and think "Jesus, not this crap again." He's not especially sloppy or boring as a wrestler, I guess, he's just... Bland as fuck. Seeing his face is just... a buzzkill. Everything about him makes me say "Thanks for coming, NEXT!"
I dunno. He's not bad, or anything, just... He's got the charm of a chick fight.
They really should have made the Colons stick together as a Tag Team. Primo has no direction now.
Carlito and Masters would rock as a tag team.
Exactly and they were amazing too.

I know what you mean. I'm sortof the same, though I wouldn't say I hate him.
He just does nothing for me, I don't get excited and look forward to his match or anything when I see him like I do with guys like Swagger, The Miz and Ziggler.
I just think "Oh right, so Primo's having a match then. :|" and I just watch his match and wait for him to do his unnecessary cartwheel and finish his match. :-\

EXACTLY.
And either way, whether he wins or loses, my reaction is a combination of two things:
1. "Well, THAT was totally interesting."
2. "Good, we can move on now."
Like I said, I don't hate him as a person, I hate him being on tv. He's like the John Cena of unpopularity.

Breaking up The Colons was the stupidest thing ever... they already know that Carlito can't get over by himself, so why try it again? Primo doesn't have the charisma to be a breakout star, they were much better as a team.... but many felt the same about Miz & Morrison.... I guess only time will tell

It means, when he shows up, I feel obligated to go pee. At least then, something would happen during his match.
Also, heel Carlito is fine. Face Carlito, aka Trying to be funny and ending up awkward and embarassing Carlito, is not.
For me either Carlito is shit. I stopped eating apples cause of him.
Well, not really but I could.

I think Primo might be on the wrong brand right now. On either SmackDown! or ECW, he could get more chance to show off his ring skills, which are what he really needs to get over.
Over the course of the years, there have definitely been wrestlers I didn't really care for, but I can honestly say that I've never *hated* a single one.

I just want him off tv. It's not the brand, it's him.

I agree with Noid about a brand switch... maybe there's a Smackdown star that could do better on raw who isn't doing much on the blue show (which will likely always be the B show, but seems to becoming the Better show... once again) I can't think of anyone of the top of my head but I'm sure someone can to better on RAW from over there.
If not just turn him heel and team him with Chavo or even back with Carlito...
Also they could bring back a light heavy division or x-division style(new rules, modified Lucha-Libra or something) and use him as one of the guys, they have enough people on the roster, Mysterio when he comes back( his matches wouldn't look as awkward) Born, even hardy's and Morrison/Michaels/Jericho/punk...anyone who can work the fast past style. Just because they have a new division/type of rule set for certain matches, they don't need a title, hell I’d be happy if they worked it in a 8-16 man tourney (bringing out pay per appearance workers from Japan and Mexico/Indy’s) and do it once a year.

Switch him out for Yang.

Switch him out for Yang.
I agree with this. Jimmy Wang Yang could really use the move to RAW. Yang is still young, plays quite a good character when he's asked to, and can connect with the fans when he is allowed to do stuff. Sure, he got suspended once, but big deal, give the guy another chance.

I do think that Primo is very generic and comes across on TV as boring during his intro. But when he wrestles and does all his spots he's really good to watch.

Yeah, his ability is decent enough but there's just nothing really to his character what-so-ever. How would you describe his gimmick/character? Seriously.

He was actually getting quite over when he was teaming with Carlito. I think a lot of it has to do with the RAW writers not knowing how to do shit with anyone, really. The whole mid-card is sort of floundering, and even guys like Jack Swagger and MVP have a hard time getting air (although this Wigsplitters team with Mark Henry should be good for MVP).
Chavo Guerrero and Primo Colon to SmackDown! in exchange for Jimmy Wang Yang and Funaki, I say.

I am not a fan of Primo either. When he is on Raw I usually walk away and do something else. He is not exciting anymore like he was when he was teaming with Carlito. I don't think they should've broken them up because now I don't really care about either.

I have to disagree with afterlife, just watched his match with Swagger on this weeks superstars and I thought it was pretty good.
Sure, is he a one trick pony, maybe. But he is fun to watch for what he is.

I don't think he is bad, but he is a bit of a buzzkill when he comes on TV. He always seems to be a filler and I am not a fan of the fillers.

Carltio's Brother...
Exactly. How can you get over purely by being known as the brother of a wrestler who isn't very over (at all) himself?

They shouldn't have broken them up. The team had some exciting matches with Miz and Morrison and as Noid mentioned, both men were getting over. But breaking them up was so random and forgettable, much like the Colons now.

I think Carlito, probably Primo too, will be gone within a year. Carlito was unhappy and seems to have been unhappy for years. He started so well then just got fucked.
TNA could probably do better with him, he'd be a useful addition to the X-Division, and clearly should team up with Consequences Creed.

You reckon? Didn't he nearly leave in like 2007/2008?
He just seems so half-assed these days, like a depressed wrestler. The segment when Vinnie punched him out. He clearly didn't want to do that.

I honestly think he's playing the brooding sulker.
Yes, he wanted out, but he had a face-to-face with Vince, and their problems were at least sedated. I imagine as long as the money is right, Carlito will stay, and seeing as how they feel like they need wrestlers that can speak Spanish, I think he'll be an asset for some time.

I think that Shelton Benjamin is a great wrestler and he is at least a guy who will win singles titles. I don't see Primo winning one anytime soon.

I'd much rather watch Shelton than Primo.
Mainly because I like Shelton and don't give a shit about Primo. As others have said, The Colons should still be a team.

Don't disagree with you, I was just pointing out the irony of how you said you don't like fillers and Shelton Benjamin is the epitomy of that. No doubt a very good filler but still.
