On Val Venis and Matt Bloom: “Val Venis aka Shawn Morley and Matt “A Train” Bloom were backstage visitors in Phoenix. Both are really good guys and are seemingly enjoying working regularly in Japan. I remember interviewing big Matt when we first hired him in WWE. I always liked Matt and even got to know his Dad who played college football at Michigan and in the old, AFL with the then Boston Patriots. I always looked at getting to know a talent’s family members, when possible, as a viable part of the recruiting process and on which to build a solid relationship.”

Just when Smackdown's roster couldn't get ANY better. I would pay infinity dollars to see John Cena receive a Baldo Bomb.

Let's take a look at this human highlight reel's notable WWE accomplishments:
-Defeating Kane for the Intercontinental championship
-Making out with Stacy Kiebler
-Grabbing Trish's boob
-Nearly ending the Undertaker's streak at Wrestlemania
-Almost piercing a hoe
-Beating up Scotty 2 Hotty

I don't see him ever coming back though :(

Always liked him..... I could see him getting signed again.... he's wrestled in Japan for quite a while, so he's most liely gotten better in the ring.... plus he has the size to make it in WWE

He was always good in the ring. Just never got that over.

He's all shaven and tatted up now right?

I used to mark for A Train the same way I mark for Knox. The guy was a damn good worker and had a very good set up moves. The Baldo Bomb, Derailer, Torture Rack into a neckbreaker, press slam into a sit out power slam. I was pretty pissed when he got let go.

His bicycle kick was fucking hideous! In a good way; I mean, it looked like guys shoulda been losing teeth EVERY time. I would actually be thrilled to death if he came back.

Don't forget, A-Train beat the hell out the now suspended Rey Mysterio.

When he became A-Train, he really started to shine. I don't know if it was Heyman's booking or what, but he looked like a legitimate force. That's something he didn't even look like when he went over Kane for the IC Title.

His work in Japan has apparently been good, and I would not complain about seeing either him or Sean Morley re-signed to the WWE.

Fuck's sake, why are there no Hip Hop Hippo gimmick pics online.

I doubt he is coming back, he has found his niche in NJPW and I doubt he'll leave it.

Watching Albert/A-Train in the Vault has made me realize how well protected he was. When they did T & A, Albert rarely took the fall. I don't think I ever saw him take a fall with Scotty. During his Summerslam match with Taker he hit the Baldo Bomb, but the referee was unable to make the count. I think his WWE run was ended mainly due to "we have nothing for you." Which is understandable. Size can be limiting if you're too small or too big. Writers tend to just make size be the character and there isn't much to cheer or boo beyond that. Albert is a great talent, but they never really developed him beyond "here is a big man who wears a hat size 8 3/8!"

Loved his series of matches with benoit.

His work in japan has been really great.

If Val Venis came back, Noid would blow his top.

I kind of enjoyed his run from April-Dec. '02 as heel Albert who would constantly toss chairs into the ring, and the crowd would always chant "SHAVE YOUR BACK!" at him, and everyone who tried to find a way to shave his back always got laid out...Good times.

Bring in A-Train and Val Venis as a tag team. The WWE needs more of them.

Giant Bernard rocks, bring him in I'd say. Hell if they were willing to give Eugene a chance... He could make a good contender for Cena or even Punk in they brought him in face.

lol i was thinking about that in the pic.

But i think he should've always came in as a Mexican/Puerto Rican guy. I mean, i know he's white but he could pass off as one and look like one of those "Diablos/West Coast Chopper" type of gimmick/style. Idk. If he came back, i couldn't hurt i guess. Don't remove anybody worthy who is currently employed for him though.

A-Train to Baldo Bomb John Cena and star in The Marine 2???

If they bring A-Train back, they should give him Angela Fong as a valet and mouthpiece, and have her talk about how A-Train left the WWE to go train in the mountains of a far distant land to become enlightened.

Pass him off as a renegade Shaolin monk.

That picture almost looks like they could literally hang the referee from their arms in the air if they were standing in a perfect line since it seems like the ref wants to be away from the middle. Either that or the ref is probably in the worst position to raise both guys hands.

I'd just like to say that if I were running a wrestling company right now, Giant Bernard would be one of the first free agents I'd look at.
