Apparently Randy signed a new 28 month, six fight deal which I'm sure will have a retirement clause somewhere in there.

I don't know if they actually said this at the PPV, but has anyone read this?

Dana confirmed it at the press conference after the show.

What are the odds on him fighting and winning at 50 yeras old?

good for him. the guy still proves he can go the distance with the best fighters in the world and he's a big draw.

I don't know. I think he should retire after watching the last fight. Don't get me wrong, it was a good fight but if it was someone other than Nogueiro that was younger and a good striker then Randy would have lost. But he is a draw since the fans love him and his acting sucks balls.

Well against a younger striker he would have just used strikes to get in and then take the guy down. Against Nog the whole "take the guy down" thing is neutralized since no heavyweights wants to go on the ground with him.

Somewhat uneducated statement, other than the acting part.

Noguiera is 33 years old he's not exactly ancient. It's pretty clear he was in good shape for this fight and has gotten over all the ailments that were plagueing him. The guy has only been a top 3 heavyweight for what... the past 8 or 9 years? The only guy who only really beat him was Fedor up until he ran into Mir, who was hot, and Nog was sick as a dog. Bad combo.

I'm not saying Randy is in his prime or anything, but he just hung with Nogueira for 3 rounds and at some points was giving as good as he got. Nog beat him straight up, but Randy more than held his own. The guy obviously still has some fight left in him.

Who else is there to fight for him you think? I love Randy and all but that division is so thin, it'd be cool if he went back down to 205 maybe?

I think he'll go down to 205.

This contract "keeps him away" from StrikeForce and a Fedor fight on someone else's terms (other than Dana White's)

I could see a fight against Cain Velasquez or Kongo, and possibly a rematch with Lesnar. Other than that 205 would seem likely.

I actually agree. This is the first time Ive seen randy look significantly slower than his opponent. And lets be honest here, Nog's striking is good, but he is not the best striker randy has fought (i consider sylvia and gonzaga better strikers), and randy was getting hit like he was a rockem robot.

He could beat cain and kongo, but that makes no sense for the ufc to do that to their contenders.

Well that's the thing though ain't it. Randy is the guy who can win or lose to anyone...at the end of the day it's dangerous to put him in against anyone...and he only wants big time fights, so he's going to be facing alot of guys are possible contenders.

cain and kongo arent BIG fights. BIG fights would be him vs machida, a silva, mir, lesnar, fedor

Though I think all those guys you just listed would beat Randy soundly.
