When you guys go to concerts do you wear earplugs? I saw AC fricken DC last night and it was an amazing show, but I'm deaf now. Kinda wishing I had ear plugs. I've never brought ear plugs for any concert before but it might not be a bad idea.

BTW, who brings their 5 year old to a concert?

Earplugs at an AC/DC concert is a slappable offence. What are you, 80?

you're a bit gay if you do it i think, unless you go to concerts like 3 times a week or something.

that being said, i could have done with some for my bloody valentine. fucking 25 minutes of pure white noise during realise, my hearing was shot for a week or two.

I'm trying to avoid being a gay 80 year old so I have never worn them.

I thought about bringing earplugs to concerts - as I value my hearing - but I always forget them. Some places really do have their PA's far too loud, for the size of their venue, such as the Academy 3 at Manchester Uni.

So would these earplugs be for your bleeding vagina?

It depends how close to the speakers you are. Especially at a rock concert. With earplugs you will tend to hear the sounds a lot better, and wont have that horrible ringing in your ears. My dad is as def as a post from running pubs with live bands for years, i have learnt from his mistake and wear plugs at rock gigs.

I don't really wear them but I don't begrudge those who do.

I need to start wearing them to gigs and such, as I enjoy being able to hear.

I only wear earplugs to concerts if I'm right next to the fucking speakers.

Even then I could still hear everything even with them in.

This, but then again I'm not a big concert guy.

I do sometimes when it is way too loud, like BC said, earplugs actually make the sounds better.

Never worn earplugs. What kind of sissy would think of such an idea? Maybe if you're sitting RIGHT next to the speakers.

Those who value their hearing, because the sound engineer working the FOH has shot hearing and turns up everything into the red.

Earplugs? What's the next step, butt plugs?

Honestly, I only ever wear earplugs for one band: The Melvins.

That's because they're insanely fucking loud.

Only concert I wished I'd taken ear plugs to was Mogwai because they were, as one punter put it, 'pant-shittingly loud'. But I think it would have ruined the effect of their set, so fuck that.
