The first one was pulled from theaters because of the Columbine shootings.

Eh, there were other factors at play that were responsible for that films theatrical failure. http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20041118/REVIEWS/41116007/1023

Also this sequel looks just as horrible as the first one.

The sequel has been a disaster for a lot of reasons. Supposedly the writer/director burnt every bridge in hollywood and couldn't get it made.

Then he burnt his bridge with the cast and couldn't get them.

Him and Rocco came to my school for a Q&A. They spent the whole time hyping the sequel, dropping names like Robert Deniro and Steve Buscemi. Then they started saying this ridiculous shit about bringing Rocco back from the grave.

It sounded like a bunch of bullshit, and the movie sounded awful. Then I heard all the news about it falling apart. I guess the guy has a huge ego for nothing really.

I loved the first one when I first saw it. I was about 16. I watched it again recently and it's not so good anymore. I dunno.

This looks kinda cheese. I can't believe its coming out October 30th and there's been no marketing at all.

And there's no supposedly about Troy Duffy burning bridges. If you haven't seen the documentary Overnight yet, what the hell is the matter with you.

I wanted to go to see the original when it was re-released in theatres for the anniversary edition but no theatre within 100 miles was playing it.

I dont really have any interest in the sequel though I'll rent it when its out on Bluray.

When Boondock Saints was completed, it was given a very limited theatrical release, with its distributor showing the film in 1999 on only five screens in the United States for a duration of a week. However, the original unrated version of the film was later re-released in theaters on May 22, 2006.[16] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boondock_Saints#cite_note-MF-15)

It had a limited release. Most people saw it on either DVD or TBS/TNT late night.

I enjoyed the first one. Will probably watch the second one in theaters just because.

That red headed chick is acting to much like Dafoe in the first one, almost as if they wrote the part for him and couldn't get him so just made a chick do it...

His words were "I was the only motherfucker sitting in that theater watching that fuckin' movie because I was the only one that had heard about it."

Boondock Saints is still the greatest mystery to me. I guess....what was likable about it?

I saw it and thought 'gee...here's a film with nothing going for it'. So disappointing. It was like the director got drunk on sake one night, turned on Pulp Fiction and wrote down some ideas on a chopstick wrapper. It was one of the few times I agreed with the critics on rottentomatoes.

And then they made a sequel to it. If it doesn't go down as 'least deserved sequel ever'....well....
