Also, it's a little odd that both shows will have "major announcements" next week. Desperate much?

I didn't read anything about a major announcement. Only that Long will have something that will change the face of Smackdown next week...
Batista's got a "career altering" announcement on Raw.
Hmm. Batista going to Smackdown?

1.) Will be good to see Jimmy in a match again, however, I wish he was still SD!'s "resident redneck" and not the resident "I'm used every 6 months now and still have to job" guy. He's got at least enough talent to be used on a regular basis, and needs to get a win streak going.
2.) I know it's SuperStars, but really?! Ziggler v. SMJ? Ya know what? Fuck Jesse. Nobody cares about him anymore, his new gimmick as a wannabe rapper is awful, just fire his ass already!

I seen smackdown/ecw in person tonight for these spoilers.
Matt Hardy vs Punk in the submission match was pretty good.
Punk vs Taker was the dark match and it was awesome. Punk had some damn good heat.

On a side note Morison had the crowed chanting Mr Ziggles at Dolph. It was funny.
So what the fuck did Hardy submit to?
I'll give you two guesses.

Sounds like another good show, as the booking is all pretty simple and logical. *sigh* I love Smackers.
The opening promo sounds good, and not too cheesy. Punk is someone who bases himself in "reality" and is chalking up The Undertaker to be in a fantasy world. Brilliant. They need to intensify this rivalry for Hell in a Cell, and Breaking Point will likely do that. I'd like to see Punk get Taker to submit, brag about it, and then Taker tries to drag Punk into a reality that isn't "smoke and mirrors" -- Hell in a Cell.
Finlay defeating Mike Knox in a Belfast Brawl makes sense. Finlay is the face in this feud, and the guy they probably want selling the t-shirts. It's good for Finlay's credibility if he wins once in a while, though. This is also "Finlay's match." This may or may not be the end of the feud, but as soon as Knox beats Finlay, he proves his superiority and really should move on.
The Michelle McCool/Dolph Ziggler stuff is obviously setting up tension between Dolph Ziggler and Maria. This is bizarre, because the way they are doing makes Ziggler look like a nice guy who can't get a break. It would make him an interesting character, but it would also set him up for a face turn.
It seems the WWE has no idea what to do with The Hart Dynasty. He's a hint: They need people to wrestle.
Chris Jericho & Big Show defeating Cryme Tyme allows them to finally move on from their previous feud. I don't really know where this leaves Cryme Tyme, though. Can they keep on being the tag team that never wins the titles forever? Maybe singles runs may be coming for them?
I hope that Teddy Long's announcement isn't that Batista is coming over. I don't think SmackDown! needs him, rather than RAW doesn't need. Batista can be motivated when working with the right guys, and SD! could bring out the relevancy in Batista again -- but I just don't want to see Batista on my favourite wrestling show.
John Morrison seems like he's on auto-pilot this week, but we do get a Charlie Haas sighting! I love Haas, and I think he has been used in a better way even as an enhancement guy on SmackDown! than he has been on RAW. I just sort of want to see Haas pushed. This could have been made an IC Title match, to make it a stand out a little more, and to give Morrison a successful defense of the title.
Layla has been improving in the ring, but man SmackDown!'s talent base is shallow. They seem to be moving in directions, though, which they sort of need to. Melina is chasing the Women's Title, Michelle and Layla are bitches, Maria has tensions with all of them right now, and Eve and Natalya have their little thing.
R-Truth and Drew McIntyre's thing has been bubbling over time, to the point where people might actually care about McIntyre's first match. This makes me hopeful that Hayes is a big supporter of McIntyre, and that he gets used in a good way. Hopeful.
The main event is just there to play off the heat between Punk and The Hardys, and build towards the Submission Match at Breaking Point. It did that really well, and Punk now has his submission finisher re-established, which could be handy even past Breaking Point.
