UFC hall of famer Randy Couture will meet Brandon Vera in the UFC 105 main event on Nov. 15 at the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. BloodyElbow.com and The Daily Telegraph reported the bout on Sunday.

Sources within the camps of both fighters confirmed to Sherdog.com that verbal commitments have been made, though bout agreements have not yet been signed.

The fight will be Couture’s first as a light heavyweight since he lost to Chuck Liddell in February 2006, ending a memorable trilogy that helped carry the UFC into a new era of prominence. The 46-year-old mixed martial arts legend last appeared at UFC 102 in August, when he dropped a unanimous decision to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira -- the only man to hold the Pride Fighting Championships and UFC heavyweight crowns. Couture has lost his last two fights at heavyweight, leading some to question his place in the division. One of the sport’s most decorated competitors, he holds victories against six former UFC champions, including Liddell, Tito Ortiz and Vitor Belfort (twice).

Vera, who turns 32 in October, has posted back-to-back wins since his split decision loss to Keith Jardine at UFC 89. A skilled muay Thai striker and grappler, he cruised to a unanimous verdict against Krzysztof Soszynski at UFC 102. Seven of his 11 career victories have come by knockout or technical knockout, a 69-second drubbing of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir included.

Other bouts already confirmed for UFC 105 include a middleweight matchup pairing Michael Bisping with Denis Kang and a pivotal welterweight showdown pitting Dan Hardy against the undefeated Dong Hyun Kim.

Not a huge card, but looks like it could have some cool fights.

I'm not interested in that fight. I honestly don't care about Brandon Vera and I don't think I'm alone with that. If Couture losess I think his career is over because who would really care to see him fight again?

Vera is a great striker, but he's been hella lazy since pushing Mir's shit in. He's not hungry.

Couture will shut him down anyway, since he's a smart fighter who plays to his strengths.

Yeah, I definitely do not see myself getting too interested in going to see Couture fight Vera.

Main event , as usual is a bit of a let down at a British event.
However I like some of the other fights, good to see Ross Pearson get his fist fight and a few others of the British fighters.

Personally I think Vera V Couture could be alot better than alot of people are thinking...Vera will either show people what he can really do, or Couture is gonna prove he can still go with the young guns.

Hardy V Stun gun should be a pretty cool, hopefully Hardy can keep it on the feet though, and Bisping *should* have at least a solid showing against Kang. Plus, on top of all that you have Paul Taylor who brings good fights...

I haven't seen Vera be impressive in a long time, I think I have fallen asleep during his last 2 fights.
