Did anyone catch it?
I didn't really miss Jay

I watched some of it. The novelty will wear off fast when CSI and The Mentalists new seasons debut. I never saw this doing well. People don't wanna watch this at 10pm.
Watching it right now. It was basically him doing the dialogue, showing a sketch, bringing out Jerry Seinfeld and then the musical guest and finally the headlines. About 42 minutes total. It's just the Tonight Show with a different set and different time but without the genuine feeling.
On a related note, I am looking forward to George Lopez's late night show on TBS.

It's basically a cost cutting move. Jay claims he can do a week's worth of episodes for the price of one episode of CSI. But I don't see it lasting.

Well, he did damn near bring Kanye to tears, so how bad can it be?

Now that the show has started experts predict he will be bringing millions to tears.

Jay Leno is not funny at all.

I'm not the biggest Leno fan. The best thing about this is that it will give Conan a stronger older audience lead-in. It might help out his ratings, slightly.

His show could have 3 viewers in Iowa and it will make NBC money so it will go for a couple years until the economy shifts and NBC isnt losing money left and right. His show is on for the sole reason that its cheap to make and will get good ratings compared to the cost.
I would be happy at least that they didnt just throw 5 different reality shows into the timeslot and say fuck it, at least they tried to do something different.

Only saw the first episode but it was fucking awful.
I used to hate Jay Leno but then thought to myself, "I don't know, he has to appeal to a lot of middle aged women and tell like 25 jokes a night. I probably couldn't do a better job." Then I started to "kinda respect him".
Then he was on Bill Maher a couple weeks ago and I was kinda excited, like I really wanted to like him. But he was fucking awful. Kept trying to tell these horrible, horrible jokes and it was making me cringe.
Also the Kanye West interview was brutal/mad staged.

Yeah, he seems like a personable guy. I saw someone interviewing him and he talked about his childhood and growing up and stuff. Seemed like someone you could have a conversation with. But I don't really find his show funny.
I'm sure if this doesn't work he'll find something else or just have to settle for living with his millions of dollars and his vintage car collection.

I'd say they're holding onto him more for the reason that he does not go to ABC or FOX to host late night there.

Was never a big fan of him but I've watched the first two shows. I dunno, they were pretty terrible.
That 10 @ 10 interview he did was awful. Maybe it was Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz just not being funny at all but it was just bad.

Also what is the deal with the announcer at the beginning. Made the show sound like it was gonna be shitty/boring from the start.

I think it was more because of them not being there in person. It's just not the same. The interaction between Jay and them seemed off.

Not sure if its a good thing to say on tv but Robin Williams admitted to having a small dick when describing his nude scene in an upcoming film on Jay Leno's show.
Something about how they have tricks to only be naked when needed such as a robe or a sock. But he said a small sock and everyone just stopped then started to laugh.

God, Leno has absolutely no character at all. He is just a joke telling robot, has no personality at all. Ugh

also its excusable to have terrible jokes when you are on at midnight, but when those horrible jokes are at 10pm it is just way too awkward

How is this thing doing? One of my childhood dreams was to be on the Jay Leno Show, and I want to know if I still have time to do this.

I read something a few weeks ago about how it was getting really bad ratings compared to the other shows in the time slot and "everyone was wondering how long NBC will stick with it" and stuff like that.

I read an article in my local paper about how the local news affiliates hate it because he is a terrible lead in. As of right now the local NBC affiliate for the 11 o'clock time slot is in 4th place. I want to say that prior to the Jay Leno Show they had been in first, but I can't be certain of that.

I read that NBC was just going to keep it on until they find a show that is just as cheap or cheaper to put in its place.
